'Dreading' the 21st!!

Is it just me or is anyone else looking forward to the show on the 21st with a tinge of sadness? This could, and I suspect will, signal the last time Prince plays live in the uk - certainly a show of the scale we r used to. I can't wait for the show for all the reasons we know but there is a sense of finality about the show aswell. Thanks to a couple of org members (you know who you are and I'm eternally grateful) I'm lucky enough to be going to both the show and the aftershow and after 20+ years of following Prince both on record and Live I have a chance of getting closer than I've ever been and it almost seems apt that this will happen at (potentially) the last show he will play here. Going to a Prince Concert has always got me 'high' for weeks in advance and has usually resulted in hitting a 'low' for a while after but with this show there's an element of being 'low' beforehand mixed with an amazing high. I was wondering.....Is it just me ????

Hey there! No, it's not just you. I was thinking exactly the same thing about an hour ago myself actually. Being at the aftershow gazing up adoringly at Prince and then him coming out with something like how much he's enjoyed playing 21 nights in London and he'll miss us all, but he's never coming back. Just thinking about it makes my eyes fill up.

Well Hello!
Not just me then! Every time I get that biggrin 'oh my god I'm gonna see Prince Live' feeling I then get the sad 'for the last time' feeling

Try to think positively. At least you'll be there to give him a great send-off and be able to say goodbye in your own way. It'll be a great night. Don't let the fact that it might be the last time spoil that. And if you cry, so what. You won't be the only bloke crying I bet.

I'm really excited about the 21st but at the same time I just know I'm going to be sad it's all over.

I've really enjoyed the shows I've seen on this tour. He's been nothing short of amazing.

There's going to be a bit fat empty hole, that's for sure. I was thinking earlier this evening - I can't remember the last time I watched tele. All of my spare time is spent chatting on here or looking for tickets on Ticketmaster!

Don't worry, we've got Justin Timberlake to replace him dead

Oh God, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.

I really really really want to get some more main shows in now before the 21st. I can't let there just be one more to go sad

As much as there will be a tinge of sadness there's nothing that could spoil the night....Maybe the next day...but not the night itself. Losing a limb wouldn't stop me enjoying the event itself.

But its weird..Ive always felt that Im a bit strange..for 20 years..every Prince concert..the build up..the high of the concert then the low feeling for days. even as Ive got older/married/kids etc.thought it was just me!!but its even worse now.. 21 nights!!!
Have thought tho Am I going to be in my 50s or whatever before see him again?! Sitll feel the same as my 20 something self when he came out in Wembley arena on his white thunderbird 1988!!
We just have to enjoy evey single minute!!

Hi
I am going on the 9th for the last time and will be crying for sure! Didn't manage to get tickets for the 21st, but if i did, I think I would of been even more of a mess at the end of the show. Why don't we on the 22nd all have what I call 'Prince nights' at home. Get all your Dvd's/videos/records and CD's and dedicate the whole evening to Prince. The lovesexy video does it for me everytime. It brings back so many great memories.

Just (cheekily) tried with ticketmaster to move two row a upper tier tickets to good lower tier ones on the 21st. Pleaded that I purchased the tickets before the warning about heights was issued.

Was told that this switch was no longer possible (nor would it be nearer the date) as there are no tickets left at all for the lower tier. Was told that my only choice now was not to go. I think we will manage to get by. lol

I'm more worried he'll to a short main set and a no show at 3121!

In a way, they would be funny!
