Scammers

It probably doesn't come as a suprise to most of you but i just thought i'd make you aware of all the scammers looking to take advantage of our desperation for tickets.

I went on Gumtree website to see if anyone had Prince tickets for the 21st.

One guy was selling c1 tickets (i think) for face value (£31.21). He wasn't even taking into account what he would have payed for booking fees etc. He had two apparently. When's something's too good to be true it normally is - and the whole selling at face value seemed like an obvious give away.

I did email him. He said he had the tickets and that i could collect them at his place in West Sussex - or i could put the money into his bank account and he'd send them.

I called his bluff and said i'd come and collect them myself and he went quiet.

Nearly exactly the samething happened a couple of hours later - this time with a supposed girl. She said she was in Reading. This time she was selling at a more believable £50/ticket. As soon as i said i'd travel to her she went quiet.

I know a lot of these scams can be deduced pretty quickly by saying you'll come and meet them, but all it takes is a desperate person, and that's it. It gets me so annoyed to think that people are being taken advantage like this

I appreciate there's nothing we can do about this, but in the rush try not to fall for something you wouldn't normally.

Peace and good luck people cool

same happened to me - 50 quid a ticket - then suddenly i got some ridiculous story about "I am out of the country so my mother will drive to your area with the tickets. She is too old to deal with money and banks so can you transfer the money to me as I need it to pay my hotel bill"

I replied saying "I'm sure you're a very honest person but cash on delivery or thank you for your time." This of course actually meant "fuck you you thieving scum"

The funny part is she actually had the nerve to email THREE more times (I didn't reply to any) talking about how I will definitely get my tickets and she desperately needs the money for the hotel.

I hate scum
i ain't looking for a 1 night stand...
i don't really wanna be your man...
