Breakthru- I WAS sexy enuf 2dance in front of Prince To anyone who contributed to my previous thread 'Are You Sexy Enough to Get Onstage with Prince?', I have breaking news...
At Aftershow last night, I hung at back by DJ's booth, out of line of fire lest i have to relive trauma of 'Am I Sexy Enuf etc etc', having a discreet shuffle. Then, during 'Everyday People', as you probably read, Prince decided to go to balcony. Next thing I know he's marching thru doors right next to me & plants himself feet away, playing THAT riff so, as advised I took bull by horns & got right up in front of him & DANCED!! I think I blew his head off with my over enthusiatic vocals but he was inches away & I took FULL ADVANTAGE. It was utterly surreal, joyous & hilarious. I even skipped around after him, still singing like a loon & watched him as he stood by elevator door waiting to go upstairs- there he was strumming away waiting for lift to arrive. Then on his return to stage, i plonked myself next to door and as he passed I blurted out the only phrase I'm capable of uttering to him these days- 'We Love You!'- he gave me a very sweet, if not slightly wary, 'Thank You'. Positive result, non? Oui!! | |

Oh yes I understand the P loves it when fans with a rather crazed look in their eye come bounding up to him to shout sweet nothings in his ears 
Only kidding, i'm sure it was a blast...glad u enjoyed it, im jealous really  "Fella's would u look at that tail............... would u eva....."

Sorry, I had to smile at the thought of Prince pressing the lift button, getting in (with musac?) and then staring at the floor number display change whilst still strumming. [Edited 9/17/07 14:06pm] | |
