I phoned the venue tonight to ask the situation about orders placed for tickets in advance, as I had no e-mail acknowledgement for my PayPal order or to say the tickets had been mailed by Kindred Spirit (http://www.kindredspirit.org.uk/).
They said that if you bring your PayPal order confirmation that will suffice to be given a ticket and admission. The doors open at 7.30pm. The women say that the organisers have given them no information for the public beyond this and were being rather secretive. Makes me wonder who the backing band will be and who else may turn up? ;--) Tickets will be available on the door, though more than the £12.50 in advance. My ticket didn't arrive in the post yet (Monday). I have tickets to Chelsea FC tomorrow so was going to pop along to Mrava on the way home, but if it starts at 730 I'll have to forgo the football. Prince is in town (as if we hadn't noticed) and there's no show on Wednesday, so if he doesn't turn up I'll eat me left arm

You won't even believe it, I've scored a super weird piece of Prince memorabilia just now! I got this crazy idea in my head that I wanted to get hold of one of those awesome A1 size posters that lined the escalators at North Greenwich station. I asked at the tube, they said ask at the venue. I asked at the venue, they said ask AEG. I emailed AEG and talked to a really nice woman and charmed my way into her promising to get hold of one if she could for me. She said the posters belonged to Prince and she expected his management to take them all back but would try. Well, I just got an email from her and blow me down if she didn't save just one for me! Literally, I am the only person to have one of these posters aside from Prince, LOL. It's not one of the best shots, only his hand, but hey, beggars can't be choosers! I'll have it in my possession this afternoon. What chance to get Marva to sign it? That would be pretty cool. It'll look fab framed next to all my tickets and the purple/gold tickertape that descended from the ceiling at one of the gigs the other week! Am quite chuffed! [Edited 9/18/07 5:00am] | |
