FREEBIES TO NON FANS... I REALLY want to scream about this freebie lark.
Last Wednesday, I just HAD to go again (withdrawal symptons - it WAS over a week since my last Prince gig). I paid a huge price to be in block D2 Row B coz they are the greatest seats in the house!! In front of me - row A - were 5 people that told me they got free tickets from someone they knew in the advertising dept of the Daily Mail. Ok, I guess fair enough, but when the show started, it was patently obvious, they were SO not Prince fans and could only muster up a little enthusiasm when he sang one of his greatest hits ! Most of the time, they spent with their backs to the stage, chatting to the people behind them and kept nipping out for another drink. It was so annoying, even the security guys, were suspicious of them. Freebies should NOT be given out unless people can PROVE they are fans. They should be made to sing at least 10 unknown non-greatest hit songs, before being handed the best seats in the house. I could cry when I think of the amount of people who would have died to get into those seats. Who else has had this experience and we shall we do about it !!! (p.s. does anyone here know of someone that works in the Ad dept of the Daily Mail?!) "I cant stop dancing, dancing, gonna dance the night away " [Edited 9/16/07 15:52pm] [Edited 9/16/07 15:54pm]

Alas it's the way of this modern corporate world! Freebies have always been around, i just guess they are more organised and controlled these days.
You can't blame anyone taking a free ticket if offered.

Do you ever catch any of those sitting extremely 'pretty' in the stage suites? They are so near to the stage, its embarassing for them to hop off their stool and dance. - Prince would just laugh.. (do you think i might be a little jealous?!)
