Just got home. These were my best seats yet and I could actually see P's face, as opposed to him being a distant ant.

Brian May was sat just to the left of us which gave us something to do (phone our Dad's lol ) whilst waiting for the show to start.

I thought the crowd were a bit pants tonight but I still had a good time. I enjoyed P at the piano and also got to dance to Guitar.

Must go bed.

Everyone is forgetting that the show started with Chelsea Rodgers albeit Shelby sang it all but it was funky. Shelby then sang another two songs which for the life of me I can not remember then Prince started with 1999.

Can I say thank you to the folks in C2 who was so nice to my 7 year old daughter who was partying her lil butt off. A special thank you to the kind chappie who swapped seats with us during the piano set so she can be right at the front and to the kind gentleman who put her on his shoulder during kiss. She had a great time. To the lady knob who gatecrashed our row then got upset when I told her to watch what she was doing cause she nearly hit my daughter to which she responded shouldnt she be in bed I just wanna say please take a ticket to kiss my butt as the queue is getting long and I wouldnt want you to miss your go.
Nice set tonight. Chelsea Rodgers, Adore, I Would Die 4 u and TMBGITW I loved it though it seemed a lil short to me.
Sorry to highjack this post..
My daughter is still excited she loved her first show and especially Purple Rain

Oh yes. He did it at the piano and not a 5 second snippet either.

I wish he got Kristin on stage for that bit!

Still can't remember the other one Shelby did though! I couldn't believe it finished when it did. I was absolutely sure he was going to come back. Couldn't believe it when he didn't. The show was well short tonight - he didn't come on until about 9 I don't think. So an hour and a half. Really not long enough for a main show. If that was the only show I had gone to tonight I would be ranting off on one by now.
[Edited 9/16/07 16:48pm]

i think shelby cane on at 8.15 prince about half an hour later - not sure why he didn/t do another encore - crowd was good tonight but not as into it as other nights and this is my fourth night - but still greaqt night!!! now have to find tickets for the final night - more is required.

Nah - Shelby came on at 8.30 and Prince a good half an hour later.

Thanks, yeah she is lucky. I really wanted her first concert to be a memorable one and you can't top Prince. She was still buzzing this morning and insisted on taking her PE kit in her Symbol tote bag telling everyone that'll listen that Prince looked her right in the eye eek

Wow, this setlist does seem very nice! TMBGITW. I thought he would never do this song again, since he hasn't played this one live since, 1995 I guess...

And then under the cherry moon, wow! Lucky people!

TMBGITW didnt appear on the livetolove set list right up to when the battery went which was after a full last encore. Given that the show finished at 10.30 he would have to have played this as the last track if it was played.

Not saying GrandDesign is a wind up merchant but maybe its a windup wink

If its not GD i apologise lol

Anyway - ill be there thu and fri for normal service.

Hi ya, yes, sorry, he DID do TMBGITW! It was one chorus though, way too short. But no way I should have left it off my set list! I'm pants like that sometimes.

It was Baby Love. I thought it would have been better if she had started with Misty Blue, then Baby Love and THEN Chelsea Rogers - have a proper build-up. the song's so much better when the crowd is already on fire rather than coming in cold. (I often make the mistake now of calling that song "Shelby Rogers" now in my mind, does anyone else do that??)

I couldn't remember hardly anything about last nights main show, I think it's all catching up with me now but reading through this thread has brought much of it back. I had a seat with fellow orger Jxx, who I've tagged along with before and we both thoroughly enjoyed the show.

He definitely did The Most Beautiful Girl at the sampler but only the first few lines. Under The Cherry moon was instrumental in the piano set, no lyrics at all just as on Thursday. Teased us with Darling Nikki again, which got Jxx screaming for more. Insatiable and Dear Mr Man also popped up during the piano set.

Other highlights included the woman in front of us who came busting out of her top. I hope she's not on orger as she was pretty embarassed but I feel like I have to mention it. I only noticed when the people in front of her turned round and told her. I did wonder what the security man was looking so happy about. biggrin

The woman next to me had an emotional time when he played Nothing Compares 2U. She just burst into tears and blubbed the whole way through. She was with her husband and I'm guessing it was their first show and they weren't readers of the org as they cracked up when Prince sang, "You don't have to watch Big Brother, to have an attitude". On the last night he really needs to sing, "you don't have to read prince.org, to have an attitude". biggrin

It's great now just suddenly bumping into people you've seen before and it's comforting to know that I'm not the only nutter that has been to too many shows. As we were hanging around during that, will he/won't he do another encore period, Aliuk1 turned up with her fella. They had spotted us from the lower tier earlier in the show and managed to creep down to meet us in D2 in case of a final encore. On the way out we saw Cloud Guitar which was great too. Iceblue07 is one of the most friendly orgers you'll ever meet, so don't be afraid to go and say hi to her. After the aftershow SexymfDeb did just that, so we got to say hi to her and she seems really lovely too.

If it wasn't for the selfish pushers and drunks, the aftershows are almost beginning to feel like one big family gathering. biggrin

Can't wait for the 21st!!
RIP sad

I also felt that although it was great to hear Somewhere Here on Earth it didn't quite fit in at the time Prince sang it, do you agree?
