20th aftershow: my dilemma

Hello all, I'm looking for some advice.

I have 2 aftershow tickets for Thur Sep 20th but no main show tickets. It's not worth me driving 300 miles just to go to an aftershow if Prince is not guaranteed to turn up (and I also have to be back to go to work the next day- can't get the day off).

The problem is, Ticketmaster are holding my tickets at the box office and I can't pick them up as I'm so far away. I just phoned them to see if they could e-mail them or post them out but they said no.(I thought if I had the actual tickets then it would be easier to sell them). All they can do is allow me to write a letter of authorisation for somebody to pick them up. I don't know anyone who wants them. What do I do? Wait for main show tickets and go myself (driving down to the show then driving straight back up after the aftershow, which is a bit ridiculous), write the authorisation letter for someone (who may not pay me) or forget about the tickets and lose £56? I am stupid, yes. Your advice would be appreciated!
