A couple of additions:
In the warm-up he did DMSR and Alphabet St instrumental also. Got to say, I don't remember Tamborine in this though... The version of Strollin' he did in the warm-up was instrumental, however he did sing something else over the music. Anyone any ideas? In the gig itself, in Strollin', he sang the song lyrics, and then also the other lyrics as mentioned above - it's bugging the hell out of me to know what it was! The caller id song is called Guitar Playin' Man Jam and was awesome, as was the rest of this acoustic set...

"Strollin'" segued into "U + Me" in both soundcheck and concert and also he did "shake!" at the aftershow after "automatic"

The 'Caller ID' song that Prince played during his acustic guitar section is called "Telemarketers, Bill Collectors & Fanatics". Prince played it at on the 24th June 2002 at the Celebration (I believe a live bootleg of that version is in circulation).
The 'caller ID' reference is from a line in the song: "..I used to use bad language, now I just use caller ID..." Last night (Sat) In London, Prince stopped at this point to offer an explanation of the lyric, as he was unsure if we had Caller Id over here! He then entered into a little impression of what he'd be like on the phone if a telemarketer called him: "Prince? Nah, he don't live here" etc... Excellent final line (of course playing upon the fact that fans and fams shout "I Love You" all the time: .."I love U, I love U2, but not the band!" again with an explanation of the joke:D One of the evenings highlights, and a great humourous song, actually made funnier by the fact that Prince uses the word "blank" where a four-letter word might go ("Days Of Wild" on the other hand suffered incredibly from the non-swearing lyric changes!) Speaking of "Days Of Wild", did anyone else get an amazing senstaion of belonging when a hundred or so 'Wild Signs' shot in the air, unprompted at the chorus?! Special. xxx The Partyman Eye like pretty things, and u're just as pretty as u can b...

First time I heard the Led Zepplin track 'Whole lotta love'. My God P & the NPG rocked! The whole house was shakin! U must have been there 2 c it. Is the original this good or is it just P's version that kicks ass so much?

Well remembered for the set list, can I just add that I thought it was hilarious earlier in the guitar set when the guy shouted out 'I love u', to which P just stopped dead what he was playing & said the voice was way to deep & if guys must tell him they love him they should do it during the rock part of the show, & that he likes being loved but during the ballads prefers to hear women!

The original is also very good. I don't compare the two versions, but I must say that I adore Prince's version, because it starts as a rocksong and flows nicely into a funkjam. I advise everyone to check out Led Zeppelin. They are a legend of their own, just like Prince.

It was funny, but then again I'd much rather have heard the rest of the song. That guy should've kept his trap shut! I have a copy from the Xenophobia set list from that day sorry to you but actually it is called Guitar playin man' - from the line where he says he is just a little old guitar playing man. It was from the 24th June. and have to admit that that version live was better than last night's in London. The english audience (I am english befor any complaints) are thick, we have caller id over here on mobile's and they needed the U2 part explaining also. The rest of the song was the same apart from his impromptu phone impersation. Think he was upset that people didn't respond in the same way as they were in the States. and yes i know it is in circulation on xenophobia boot but i saw them live in both places so feel that i can make this comment!

Regarding that song title: well T,B&F is what it's called on the *copy* I have, but the titles on these things are often innacurate.
Is there an *official* title for the song? Or has it just been attributed by evil bootleggers? we've got three so far! Hey, maybe someone can ask Prince at a soundcheck or something?! Thanks for the added info anyways.x Eye like pretty things, and u're just as pretty as u can b...

I agree. As I commented to my friend at the time, "Wow, he released this song twenty years ago and I've never heard it played so well." She's 21. and with the "Shake" section too!!! Loved it when he played "Tambourine" - I don't think there was a single fam there who didn't have to pinch themselves and think "is he really singing "Tambourine"???" The 'caller ID' reference is from a line in the song: "..I used to use bad language, now I just use caller ID..." Partyman is correct on this! In LA, I got to look through Prince's lyrics book...I actually wrote two of the songs that were unheard of at the time and this is one of them. 4 once this isn't a title made up by a bootlegger...
