O2. Who's Travelled The Furthest Then?

So, who's travelled the furthest to get to one or more of the O2 concerts?

My 150ish miles probably won't come anywhere near.

I'd love to see just how far everybody came.

Oh, and who lives the nearest? You can surely claim to be the luckiest Prince fan around this summer biggrin

I've been over from Paris 3 times, 4th tomorrow, and 5th for the 21st.
Every one of them was TOO FUNKY, can't wait 4 tomorrow.

I've overheard people from Austria and Spain in the O2, but I guess some Americans traveled furthest. No Ozzie's attending? smile

Me? About 200km either way...

Cardiff for me too. Drove up and back the first time, then realised it was far cheaper to take public transport, so bused/trained it last time, and will be on Friday.

If only I lived in London... the amount I'd have saved in hotel/transport would've paid for another couple of gigs!

You're all about to lose this game lol

I had the pleasure of attending the gig with Org-er BillyWane - who came all the way from California. Nuff said!

Thus, rendering my 3 x 800 mile round trips pretty lame.

I flew in from West Africa via Amsterdam for the show on the 3rd August then had to put up with Dr. John at the aftershow!

And now I can't get tickets for the 21st as I was supposed to be back in Africa but my trip got cancelled. When I tried to buy tickets but it was sold out. Not happy. Desperately trying to get tickets now, but not at £ 300 the pair.

Can anyone beat that for distance?

The buses are every couple of hours or so from 8am-8pm ish (megabus & national express). It's as low as £1 each way if you book far enough in advance. I can't remember what time the trains run now, and thetrainline.com seems to be malfunctioning. Always cheaper to book singles rather than a return on the train - it's only costing me £5.50 to travel up at midday on Friday. Bargain!

There may be a 7:30 train, not sure. I booked the bus for midday-ish as I was intending to find somewhere to stay. Haven't quite got round to that yet though...

I made it from Boston for 2 shows. I was planning a holiday anyway though. Does it still count? Will be flying over just for Led Zeppelin if I get lucky enough to score tickets.

LOL. 800 miles is plenty! I've done this same thing for Bowie, schlepped all over the place to see him. London, Manchester, Dublin, Lyon, Hannover, Frankfurt, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and finally New York, the furthest. It's mad and only others who do it too understand it but there y'go!

Not unless he lives in the shed at the bottom of the garden!

It's so lucky having Prince in residence just down the road - I left the house at 12.30 one night and walked into the aftershow at 1am to the curtains opening and Prince starting to play!!

Glad I moved here in June smile
