I'm just under 6'1, and I could see perfectly well just in front of the railing downstairs at the aftershow. However, I was chatting to two women who were smaller than me, and they said they could barely see a thing. If you are tall, I recommend that you have some consideration and stand back so that others can see. You also get more of the all-important room to groove away the further back you stand!

Yes I certainly appreciate the fact that shorter people find it more difficult to see. That's why I posted the question in the first place. Don't want people giving me daggers. lol
Room? I don't want room. I want to be in with the action. lol
I stood behind the railing last Sunday and enjoyed it. On Thursday I stood in with the crowd to the right of the stage about 4 or 5 from the wall speaker. That was even better. I'll probably end up in a similar position on Sunday.

That's what I like 2 c! Considerate tall people! Theres nothing worse than staring at a mans back 4 4hours.

Well I'm 6"1 and I'll prob be standing at the back by the rails leading down onto the dance floor, so if you see a megga tall woman with a Prince symbol tattooed on the top of her left arm come and say hi wink

I'll look out for you. biggrin

It's the age old problem though isn't. When you go to a concert the seeing is only a part of it. It's also about the experience with the rest of the people there. Some people like to stand to the back whilst others get more of a vibe in the crush nearer the front (I prefer it there). For shorter people wherever they stand they won't be in someones way but on the other hand they won't necessarily see a lot. For taller people it's easy to see wherever you are but you might not be in exactly the part of the venue you would like to be. Oh for a venue with a sloping floor but even then a very tall person will block the view of a shorter person behind them if they stand close enough together.

Well, after my protestations on previous thread 'Aftershow Priority for the Vertically Challenged'- at Thursday's Aftershow, I was close to the front but a tall & tipsy German was swaying & edging into my field of vision. Was getting midget rage- then, wonderfully, when Prince came on, the guy put his hands on my shoulders & steered me round to stand right in front of him, at bottom of steps on left hand side(as you look at stage). I even had space to boogie. And he didn't thrust his groin into my backside- I was most offended.

I remeber when i went to see Prince in vegas at club 3121. and we where all sitting on the floor talking wating for the main crowd to get in and things to get under way. Anyways where all talking and getting along with each other. Sharing stories and what not. Just nice people. Then the guy who's directly in front me, Stands up and he tall as fuck! I had trouble seeing Prince all night because of that very poilte and nice yet tall freakin' bastard!
