Expecting himself to be there but I know you gotta take your chances.... we joined the back of the queue after the show had finished - couldn't really get to the front of the stage but was still great view and space for dancing - if i went a second time would leave early to try and get to the front. Have U had your + sign 2day??? "C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -
"London do you feel for me what I feel for you"- yes Prince - "Can I play my guitar now?" - yes please

If you want to get in the first couple of rows (standing, as there are no seats downstairs) of people by the stage there are a few things you need to do:
THE AFTERSHOW SURVIVAL GUIDE 1. If you are collecting your tickets from the Indigo Club box office and are going to the main show, get them before the main show, you will still need to queue, but it will be faster than after the main show. The Indigo Club box office opens at 6.00pm. 2. Do not go to the main show (or miss all the encores). At the 13th Aftershow, the first people in the queue were there from 8.30pm (yesssss), I left the main show and still got in the second row, but it is a rush. 3. If you take any bags or jackets/coats, keep them with you and don't put them in the cloakroom, as this will delay your journey to the front stage. If you get in the first row of people against the stage, you can secretly slide your stuff under the stage (just be discrete coz I don't think you are allowed to do this. 4. Don't go to the toilet, go before you start queuing outside the venue. People are really uptight about letting people back in (even if you were originally at the front), crazy but true. The people at the frint are cool about it, but not the people further back. 5. Don't go dead centre of the stage, if you manage to get in the first row, coz the woman who manages P's lyric sheets (she is tall with shortish, curly light brown hair, normally wears black and had big glasses),needs to be there and if you are where she is, she will ask you to push along to the side. 6. It can get really hot down the front, so to get avoid dehydration, smuggle in a couple of small bottles (500ml size) of juice/water/sort drinks. Sip intermittently to make them last and avoid the necessity of a toilet break. They do not frisk you before you go into the club, but do search bags. 7. If you want hassle free comfort, pay £75.00 for a Kings Row seats, which are tables in the front balcony section, the closest section to the stage on the upper level. The £25.00 balcony seats are behind them. 8. If you go downstairs and wanna be close to the front, be prepared for assh*le behaviour, altercations and general belligerance, coz there always seems to be people who have drunk too much alcohol, are territorial and/or have a stupid attitude. 9. If you need to get back to central London and don't drive, best to take the Clipper boat back to London Bridge or Waterloo, it is inexpensive and takes 30 minutes. It also gives you a chance to watch P and the band leave the rear of the venue, while you are waiting for the boat to arrive. Have fun (it is worth all the hassle..... if he plays). Hope that helps. Indigo. [Edited 9/15/07 11:30am]

I don't get this, would you really pay to see Prince perform in the main arena, and then go before he's finished? The aftershow performances are quite different true, but I personally would want to see the whole main performance if I bought that ticket. I've seen 3 aftershows this tour, and seen the main show before two of them. I turned up at the indigO2 at about 12, no queue at all. True I wasn't in the front row, but I got a really good view. I wouldn't miss an ounce of Prince's main performance just to be in the front row. The last aftershow I was about 5 people from the front and was close enough to see everything. My advice, go to the side of the stage, where people only start to congregate towards the start of the performance.

I managed to get to about three people from the front for the aftershow just by going to the side and only went there are 1 o'clock! There is no sense missing a second of the main concert - we even hung around for about 10 minutes after the lights came on just incase and yes indeedy he came back out and played two more tunes - Chelsea Rodgers was amazing! I love that song. oh and what ever you do - DO NOT try and take photos or YOU WILL be removed - so many stupid people around me where using flash on their cameras and got thrown out - I even told a girl beside me not to use her flash as there is enough light on the stage and the flash only lights up the back of peoples head in front of her and she was really quite rude and told me she knew how to use her camera - negative vibes attract negative vibes and she was removed a few minutes later when she did it again. Not worth a photo of the lovely Shelby to miss and hour of Prince and NPG jammin Nah nah na...Hold on to your wigs!

What I mean is that you only go to the aftershow (i.e. don't buy a ticket/s for the main show at all). It would be pointless to buy a ticket/s for the Main show and not go at all, just to get to the front at the Afershow. I would say missing a couple of encore songs at the Main show is a price worth paying to get a good vantage point at the Aftershow. Indi

Indigo. Or if you would like a little more comfort: go to the indigo at your own pace. If you ar enterinh last you still will be able to have a great view. you can take a piss whenever you want to, you by yourself something from the bar and there seem te bo less drunk people in the bach. I was there twice, had no problems. The floor is a bit higher as well further back. plenty of room to dance. i would say. only point 9 is a good advice....

Last sunday, thanks to dithering friends who wouldn't drink up, we didn't get in until 5 or 10 min after he went on stage. We breezed right in, stood at the back and got a great view, and as people came and went my shorter friends ended up at the rail around the raised bit. Plus I was able to ask if my friends wanted a drink, went off to the bar, and brought them right back to where we were standing. Eventually I went down on to the floor (loads of space at the back) to get my head out of the way of people behind us. Lots of room to dance, and you get to see the crowd go nuts too, which is entertaining in itself. Completely preferable to queueing for two hours only to get crushed, shoved, shouted at, and not be able to go to the loo or the bar. I just don't get the need to be 6 feet away. Sound is probably a bit better a bit further back too. Had a thoroughly great 2 and a half hours in there. That's my view of it anyway. Your preferences may differ.

(Genius advice there, Unkle) I've something to add to this that youve all forgotten about. Check out your exits - it could save you 30 minutes on getting to that queue if you come out the right one. The best exit is on ground level (gate B). If looking at the stage where the front point ends, the exit is to your left. Go out there and you will be in that queue after 2 minutes instead of battling with the crowds... I did this last Wednesday. I saw ALL encore's, was about 20th in the queue and when I got in, my place was to the left of the stage, leaning ON the stage. Unfortunately, one thing was missing that night.....Prince !! Oh well, good training for next Friday!!
