Yes it is but you don't need to queue. Just hang around in one of the bars or something and go to the entrance once the queue has gone.

But if u get up there early--u can get seats at the front-yeah?

You can sit anywhere apart from the very front row (2 rows??) which is King's Row. I always go downstairs and when I've looked up it's never seemed that busy but then again I haven't really watched all the time so it might fill up nearer the time that Prince might come on.
