I'd recommend you get to the queue early and stand downstairs on the step. Sounds like you haven't been to the Indigo yet. It has the stage at the front with a large dance floor area in front of that. Behind the dance floor and to get to the bar area you go up one step. This raised area curves around the whole back of the dance floor and there is a rail for handy leaning.
My good lady is only 5'2" herself and she couldn't see anything when on the dancefloor but had a great view from the step. If you can get there really early and be right up by the stage you'll also have a fantastic view but it can be spoiled by drunk idiots and their pushing. It sounds like your husband should be able to shield you from the pushers though. I've also been up in the balcony, so can say from personal experience that the floor is definitely better if you can get the right spot. Had no choice but to go for the balcony yesterday as I was with my mum. She's registered disabled and wouldn't have lasted an hour standing downstairs. The seats up there are really comfortable and you can get a great view but it's also easy for the view to be impaired, especially if the kings row people start standing up. Unfortunately the angle of incline isn't really very good. It's not like in the main arena where even the shortest person should be able to see from the tiered seats. If you don't stand up, the rails at the front of the balcony seem perfectly placed to obscure the stage, which doesn't seem very clever. One thing that did surprise me last night was someone trying to push in. I kind of expect it on the floor but I don't expect someone to climb over the seats from behind me to try and squeeze in. Bloke was a right tit! I did have a great time last night but the floor is where it's really at. [Edited 9/14/07 4:26am] RIP

Yep , but you also said the VIPs were blocking the view...did you have seat numbers or does everyone sit wherever they want? Last Question: Is it even possible to try and get downstairs or is it blocked by security? Can you "lie" and say you want to buy a drink/ go to the loo and stay downstairs??

The seating up there is general admission, so you just sit where you want. Getting to downstairs wasn't possible on entry because the two ways in are seperated and they make sure you are going down the right one. I'm not sure if you'd be able to make it down later after the show starts but don't count on being able to just in case you can't. There is a bar and toilets upstairs, so no fancy dodges available there! [Edited 9/14/07 5:32am] RIP

Stand!!! Stand!!! Stand!!! Stand!!! Stand!!! Seriously though, if you aren't right at the front or on the step, a 5'2"er will have trouble seeing. Unless you get very lucky and discover the munchkins from The Wizard Of Oz in front of you. RIP

Well I'm a munchkin (4ft 11") and I'm standing downstairs on the 20th. The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it

Or can the early arrivals head to the floor etc?? How doesit work in comparison to the 02 arena? "Dead in the middle of Little Italy little did we know

Think we should get together and either politely make our way to the front or bring somekind of platform we can both stand on!!

Maybe I'll leave the sword at home but I work at a hospital and could borrow a crutch to use as a big stick - I doubt they'll take that off me if I limp in a convincing enough manner! Wish I could come up with something similar - I'm an accountant, don't think taking a calculator would work in quite the same way. Ooohh I have an idea...I could be your helper! Get practising that limp, you never know he may take pity on you and let us perch on the edge of the stage.

I'll look for someone a tiny bit shorter than me on crutches and we'll merrily make our way to the front. Hope there really isn't someone there on crutches, will be confused as to whether or not you've actually executed plan or they genuinely need them...

Good job you weren't planning this last night. Took my mum who is registered disabled and does walk with a crutch. you'd be amazed at what you can get away with when you're disabled. But obviously I can't condone anyone pretending. RIP
