Any hotel recommendations?

Thought I'd booked the holiday inn express for 20th but had a phonecall today to say it was fully booked up. So...anyone know of any others within walking distance? Going to the aftershow (please show this time!) and found the boat, bus and taxi thing a real hassle last time.

Anyone willing to split the cost of a hotel room and invite some orgers who will be homeless that nite (i.e. me wink ) around to continue the party? If there are enough orgers in the hotel, we could just keep the party going all night anyway! biggrin biggrin biggrin

There's a fair bit of choice but it aint' cheap! Here are some websites for you to check out... Personally I'd go for the Mitre in Greenwich village, it's walking distance to the O2 and also reasonably priced... don't know about availability though..

http://www.mitregreenwich.com/ - Pub/Guest House in Greenwich Village
http://www.st-alfeges.co.uk - B&B in Greenwich Village
http://www.the-o2.hotel-desk.net/ - Search for variety of hotels..

Custom House Hotel is cheap if available, plus the International Hotel in Canary Wharf too..

Good luck!

I did look at a suite there, a mere £1500 a night! Suppose I may be able to get a lift though, I've heard there's a silver merc makes it's way that direction when all's done at the O2

Could you fit 20 people in one room..?? Split the 1500 pound bill! lol At least you wouldn't have to pay for a taxi if the Merc picks you up!

Not a bad idea, sure he'd be willing to squeeze 20 of us in his car. I'm only small so sure there'll be room for me

I'm assuming you're not in London but I'd stay somewhere more central and just get a cab booked for after the Ashow.

I'd recommend this place (http://www.hoxtonhotels.com/) (or there's the Holiday Inn Express Old Street about 100 metres away). Cab will cost you about 15 from the 02 to there (www.addisonlee.co.uk) and you're a 2 min walk from Old Street tube in the morning so you can get wherever pretty easily
