The 12th

As reported by many, this show was on fire. I am not one to post set lists etc, but i will post a few highlights and sadly some very low points.

HIGHS

prince was in great spirit. He was humourous, in great voice and played a fabulous set. Notable mentions include the solo piano set - Little red corvette and Something in the water where perhaps the greatest live moment i have ever witnessed. His vocal on SITW where immense.. i am a harsh critique of Prince, if he is shit i will say so. He vocal was one of the strongest and soul drenched ive heard him do. His face looked like he was gonna cry (and not that fake wiping his eye shit he usually does). the sampler section was amazing also.. i was skeptical about it reading reports but it was a highlight of the show. It really has to be seen to be believed. we was triggering samples and breaking beats whilst singing and playing piano at one point - sounded really great.

LOWS

Prince not attending the aftershow. However, this paled in insignificance in comparisson to what happen whilst we were in the club.

1) a girl known now as 'little red riding hood' (she jumped on the stage univited and was removed by security). On her way to the stage she barged past my brothers girlfriend knocking her flying. My bro's girlfriend said 'Oww', to which little red turned and said "im going on stage you stupid n****r.

She dissapeared into the crowd and then climbed onto the stage where she was escorted out. I was ready to cave her face in.

2) the second low point wa the 4 drunks who were in front of us. They were so smashed that they were pouring drinks over each others clothes, the floor and those around them (us) - one dropped a full pint on the foot of you guessed it - my brothers girlfriend. They fell over several times and were just a general pain in the arse. My brother was getting mad as fuck (silent type.. when he blows he blows). I was certain that he was gonna flip as security failed to do anything. Its a hard one to call, we are ion a bar.. they will be drunken arseholes.. i accept this.. however.. If you are reading this you are a bunch of cock smoking mother fuckers and narrowly missed out on a swift elbow to the eye socket.

However, albeit for the negatives it was a great night.. maybe one of the best in my life.

If i would have struck either of them which i contemplated and would have easily done, it would have been me getting evicted from the club. The security are a bunch of geeks. how does a girl get to climb onto a 6ft high stage in a red riding hood outfit as two security guards flank her? too busy watching for people taking pictures with camera phones as psycho's jump on the stage and approach the main artist lol

I feel your rage! Grr! I felt like a magnet for p*ssed up twerps last night- all female, what's going on? At the show, just general lairiness then in queue for aftershow, off their faces this pair pushed in with two hopeless blokes they'd picked up off floor- apart from threatening me when i asked them politely to stop falling all over me (didn't even bother to mention queue barging, they were spoiling for a fight..). I had to listen to inane babble- 'I work with Special Need kids- y'know they're basically nutters and if I had my way I'd give them a good slap- but they won't let you do that' etc etc ad nauseam, literally. Then in Aftershow, stumbling drunk clinging onto me took umbrage when I didn't return her hugs. Left feeling ashamed to be British and female- but walking in a straight line at least. What can ya do??

Tzar

There were quite a few tossers in the Indigo last night, and as you say Vikki, they were all female. It makes me ashamed as well - why can't people just drink in moderation? There was also two really annoying women on the 3am Clipper back to Waterloo. I'm sure anyone that got this boat knows what I mean! lol

Other than that, I really enjoyed the aftershow even though Prince was a no-show! Mike Phillips really handled the crowd well and the female singer really did a good job of entertaining everyone.

At risk of getting off the thread here (sounds like there were some tossers out last night), how on earth is that homophobic..?! C'mon, you're gonna say it's promoting incest as well!
