What a night! It was fantastic to hear 1999 for the first time, Chelsea Rodgers was awesome, as was Satisfied...Phenomenal middle piano set that just blew me away and that final encore was so incredible...My highlight has to be I would Die 4 U....but dammit if he doesn't play all of Erotic City on 21st I'll bust a blood vessel!...

It was wicked to know all the orgers were out there, and....in case anyone heard, it was me who shouted 'make some funkin noise' shocked err I couldn't help myself!

I am so very content, easily my best night yet worship

it was definitely free during the piano segment.
we even got a taste of gett off (houstyle) during the final keyboard encore.
highlight for me was a taste of kylie's 'can't get you out of my head' at the end of shelby's crazy as opposed to p singing 'one nation'.

off the hook!

other highlights.. superbowl medley: we will rock you, lets go crazy, baby i'm a star, proud mary, all along the watchtower and best of you. amazing!!

the 1999 piano segment was so special.. plus the addition of a piano version of 'i would die 4 u' and 'how come u don't call..'

seriously amazing show.
roll on the 21st!!

Also, it wasn't Take me with U, it was Baby I'm a Star ! And it was followed by Proud Mary.
It was a piano set in the middle, not synth. But he did come back on, like the first night, and do a Synth set:
Can't remember the order, but Rasberry Beret, Alphabet St, DMSR, When Doves Cry... and he teased Gett Off !!

was trying to work out if it was baby im a star / proud mary as i knew that was the set on sunday night. Had been listening to those two this afternoon to try and be able to pick them out but obv not familiar enough with them to name them still grrrr

Missed the tease of gett Off - at what point did he play that?

There have been a few instances where posts have been on here requesting songs and then they've suddenly appeared. Coincidence? I think not. He's checking the org out. I'd bet money on it.

I won't be convinced otherwise until PlanetEarth appears online between 9pm and 11pm on a concert date biggrin

Planet Earth was the opening song of the fabulous main show on saturday 25th August Ellie biggrin

Just got back from the aftershow. No Prince but loved what I saw.

The main show was great tonight. Can't believe that after having seen 8 shows I could see so much that I hadn't heard so far on this tour.

To hear, Delirious, Something In The Water, I Would Die 4 U and Free in the solo piano set was amazing, especially as they were all pretty much full versions. The we also had Baby I'm A Star/Proud Mary, All Along The Watchtower/The Best Of You, a bit of We Will Rock You and Chelsea Rodgers. I'm sure I've forgotten something...

Ah yes, the first 2 lines of Mountains were sung in the synth set encore. The full version must be coming soon!

Special thanks to Aliuk1 for the fine company tonight.

Hi everyone. I was actually standing next to 02 last night and I have to agree that A2 Row A are the best seats in the house. This was my 7th main show and by far and away the best. It really was a show for the fans. There are some stage suites in front of the block too now and the very nice security man let me and the mrs in for the final encore. Prince on piano about 5 metres away playing in our direction. Whatever happens now, for as long as I live, no one can ever take those memories away. Going tonight too but slumming it in 105.....mind you have aftershow tickets and I hear he was a no show last night....

Anyway, have to work now, very difficult to get the mind focussed on anything...!!!

Know how you feel!!

he played a remix of gett off, that loop is on the maxi single - its a horn or flute based track remix - sounds a little like "you showed me" by salt and pepa

Yep, we noticed that too, I'm sure lots of the crowd did too as there was a huge cheer before he switched into something else.

That was easily my best night so far - covers were fewer and shorter, and hearing so many songs from 1999 was incredible (although I'd much rather he'd done International Lover at the piano instead of Free, but hey, you can't have everything).

One of the best things about it was that Prince was obviously in a great mood from the start, lots of mischievous glances and throwaway lines, and it seemed like he was dancing a lot more than usual too.

And that final synth set with the lights still up - wow (and thanks to the security guards who didn't stop us from climbing down from the lower tier to get onto the floor and get real close for that final bit).

What was that track after Delirious? Also, 'rolling down the river' is a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's Proud Mary and Watchtower is a Dylan song. Just sayin razz

The gap between Nothing Compares and him coming back for the synth bit was about 10 minutes and the place was half empty. It was utterly fantastic! Total surprise. I need a ticket for Sunday! LOL.

WOW what a night dancing jig Was in blk 110 row E and could'nt bear to leave when everyone else was, so decided to just hang on 4 a little while longer when I saw the box reappear under full house lights!!! excited Adrenaline pumping, I decided to take a chance and hot-footed it over the wall to get on the floor and it worked, excited excited Managed to get right to the steps on the trumpet side at just the right point where I could c him sat there..... drool3 And if that was'nt enough, I got about 5 seconds of eye contact during pop life woot! mushy heart drool3
I know I took a risk boxed but it was well worth it and am sooooo happy I made the choice at that time because now I'll b on cloud9 for a very long time love

I have to admit I haven't taken much notice of Free on the 1999 album but after reading this thread I made a point of putting it on and listening. What a lovely song. Well done Prince for pulling that one out of the bag. I wasn't at the show so didn't hear it live but it's a great reminder of a great track.
