Any1 else pleased 2hear 1000 hugs & kisses??? At the 31st main show I was very surprised & overjoyed 2 hear Prince per4m a solo voice & piano version of 1,000 Hugs & Kisses (the 1996 Emancipation outtake that he dueted with Nona Gaye).
I thought it was an unusual choice given that it was a "greatest hits" show. But I was really glad he delved in2 his fantastic unreleased catalogue. Any1 else notice/enjoy this???

It sounded fantastic...and yes, it's great that he's changing it up with a nod to his fans.
I live in hope (not in reality) that he may even play "Electric Intercourse" at one of the shows!

I'd never heard it before, but my mate BlackCandle knew about it. It was one for the fans, see Prince does care about y'all!

But to stay on topic, I was delighted to hear this live. It took me a moment as I've not listened to it loads and I had a brief, 'hmmm, this is familiar', moments. Then it clicked and my mood turned to one of OMG!! I could only sing along to the chorus but it was amazing to hear this totally unexpected tune. RIP

I really like the song & my sister has it on her ipod (a slowly growing Prince fan) so I am very familiar & was singing along from the very start. Loved every moment. I knew I was alone in recognising the song in my block when almost every1 watched me intently thruout the song & not Prince. Even a pair of real enthusiasts next 2 me looked purplexed that I knew this song n they didn't. Was rather funny. But I really loved the inclusion of the track especially as I have never heard of him per4ming it anywhere before, & in such a different style. Very much like the solo voice & guitar demo versions of Kiss & Theives In The Temple that are in limited circulation - very different fromt the resulting releases. [Edited 9/2/07 18:11pm]

It was great but a bit of a daft question to ask a load of Prince nuts. Ask the same question to a load of Avenged Sevenfold fans Yeehah PASS THE PEAS PASS THE PEAS

Yup! That made my evening! Has anybody noticed that over at the 3121 site, the report for that night keeps referring to a "new song"? Is Prince perhaps planning on including this on an upcoming project? Clearly the general unfamiliarity of this track amongst most of the audience ensures that he will indeed succeed in passing this off as new. Not that I mind, I like this track. "Had to get off the boat so I could walk on water..."
