I would say its always best to have ID just incase, When I worked in Victoria Wine I would ID anyone that looked younger than 21!

Yeah, if you look young I'd take it just in case.

I agree. Better to be safe than sorry rather than being turned away because your mate might look younger than 18.

Do they id everyone or those who look young?, he doesn't have his id, but does have his name on the ticket which is the same as the debit card he has on him

FunAndJames here got ID'd and was refused entry.

I always take my passport just in case but strangely enough I've never been stopped, though I usually am elsewhere. I must be getting wrinkles.

Well I'm 42 so haven't been asked for ID for a long time! However, debit cards do not have date of births on them so would not be accepted as a form of ID. I'd say to be on the safe side for your mate to take something with his DOB on it.

I think FunAndJames is only 17 though so even if he had ID on him he'd have been refused. However, in this case, this guy is 18 but unfortunately if he looks 17 and has no ID then he is likely to be turned away I think, if they are strict on checking tonight.

It's probably like most clubs - more strict with boys than girls!

Well as Ellie said, FunAndJames who is 17 was refused entry. May have just been unlucky with an over zealous 02 official. It would be a real shame if your mate is old enough though at 18 but is refused entry through not having any ID. If it is absolutely too late to get ID to take with you then you'll just have to take your luck and hope that he gets in without any problems.

Nah i didnt. I was gonna risk it and see if i could get in, but didnt bother in the end.

Your mate will more than likely get id'd if he looks younger. Like Ellie says, they;re way more stricter with fella's than ladies. Unless your mate opens a few more buttons and flash a bit of skin like the girls do! haha
