sorry to be anal but 1+1+3 comes back after the end of rollercoaster !

I know, but so did "Strollin'" after "U and me" and "The work" after "Soul power", but I just didn't list them.

But you are right offcourse.

before they let us enter, Prince played more tracks: the first nite he rehearsed "The work" including some horns lines from "superfunkycalifragisexy"!!!
Last nite before the public soundcheck he rehearsed a lot of stuff, all instrumental: "Dolphin", "Calhoun square", "Days of wild/America"(!!!), "Peach".
At the second soundcheck on friday he also played one line of "Soul sanctuary" on piano, just "Loving you in silence" sentence and then he abruptly stopped to let the "karaoke" begin smile
cheers

Thanks for the additions Alexxa15!

If I am correct, the first night they also rehearsed "Elephants and Flowers", the last night I think I also heard the "Shake - Automatic" medley and again "Elephants and Flowers".

Didn't he play America, at Saturday's after party? I have strange memories of earing it, but it was very late and my brain was slowing down ! smile
I hope someone (preferably Prince) releases some recordings of these shows sometime soon ! I'd love to hear that after party again, with my senses working again in proper order !

I'm sure it will arrive. Meanwhile, Gavin is right about the order needing a little tweaking. Also:

'Rollercoaster' - title is actually 'Love Rollercoaster'

On day 2 soundcheck, as Prince was sitting at the keys and turning the pages he played the briefest of 'Soul Sanctuary' (sang first line) to himself. Either before (more likely) or immediately after The ballad of Dorothy Parker - if memory serves correct.

The Guitar Playing Man song was listed on the set list as Telemarketer Blues (same source as 'U and Me')

Finally, I'm pretty sure that the opener at The Marquee was a rehearsed tune with improvisational sections and will have a title - as opposed to a jazz jam. My guess - and it is a guess - is it could turn up on Xenophobia (the album) - if Xenophobia turns up!

No James. We thought it might have heard it being rehearsed before the soundcheck - but it didn't make it to The Marquee.

I think you're right James.

He didn't put it on the setlist, according to that he was planning to open with Days of Wild and then changed last minute. Hence Takumi running to the front of the stage to change the lyric sheet to "Shake".

Gav - Prince definitely didn't play America at the after show. And I was the one reading the book and then telling you the titles - so now you know who I am on here!!!

I didn't keep notes of D's spinning platters, I just remember the ones he either mixes correctly or if they don't skip all over the joint - so I don't remember many

Prince definetly DID play America at the Aftershow, unless from the 2nd person back my ears were knackered.

I gave my email to a guy who was taking notes everynight of the set lists, hopefully he will produce the goods soon!

I was in third row, my friends were in first, but no America, sorry! Where you heard it?
Well, I didn't even recognised Tambourine (it was so short), but...
cheers
