SEPTEMBER 9TH AFTERSHOW REVIEW

One word - amazing.

In the hope of seeing prince perform at the aftershow, me and my brother had the foolhardy idea of driving from manchester @8pm hoping to catch a glimpse of prince at the aftershow! (we worked it out that if Prince had a 2 day break from the concerts, he would play at the aftershow on the 9th, as after the 9th, he would not perform again for another 2 days)

we were'nt disappointed, we arrived at indigo after 1am and walked in to prince performing a blistering guitar solo.

Ok from a i recall here just a few of the songs he played.

Girls and boys
Sexy dancer
The One - 1 of the twinz showed up - to the delight of a few guys
Alpabet street
All in the critics luv u in (london) he changed the end
Controversy (my fave)
1999
3121 - shelby rocked the house
I feel for U

so many others songs were played,i cant remember i was too busy screaming and dancing, prince was on for about 2 hours, just as you thought it was the end of the show, the crowd were going wild for more, he kept reappearing. the show ended at 3.30am. prince was very relaxed wandered to the very edge of the stage many a time. and he thanked us for the energy the crowd was giving him

Cant believe we drove stright back to manchester! and got home at 7.15am (im absolutely wrecked)! But at least i can now die happy!

Thank you prince for making all my dreams come trueXXX

Bugger ....bugger....and thrice bugger for not bothering to get a ticket.

But pleased he put on a superb show that everyone enjoyed.

heavenlybody

I woz there... I knew if he played and I hadn't tried to get in and stay awake etc I would regret it for the rest of my life!

What a night - absolutely awesome, loved the flashing lights in the shoes, loved the hat. And that he finally played 1999, after a short teasing starter at the main show.

Came all the way from France and well worth the trip! Met some lovely fans last night, some of them on here... 2 were Prince virgins until last night, but not any more!!

....Have had my + today!

Glad you had a great time at the aftershow but you should have left home earlier as Prince came on at 12.30 so you missed the first half hour. sad

He started at 12.30 and finished at 3.30am. That's what you call an aftershow!

Does anyone know of any other artist who does an aftershow. I can't think of any!

Sunday night was my first experience of seeing Prince live and I have to say that I seriously had the best night of my life!!

The main show was fantastic and I didn't stop singing and dancing from the moment he got on stage (apart from when I melted into a puddle when he did Shh and cried when he did Purple Rain!) but little did I expect the aftershow to be soooo amazing!!

We went to the bar for a couple of drinks after the main show and walked into Indigo around 12ish... bought a drink, got on the dancefloor and suddenly the music changed and out he came!! I spent the whole time there in an absolute state of shock as I'd never imagined I would ever be less that 10 foot away from the man himself, let alone be that close and have him do a three hour set!!!!! The girls were unbelievable, the band were unbelievable and as for Prince? That night I decided I wanted to have his babies! I've never seen someone command a stage the way that man does... words fail me!!! I'm sitting here now, aching all over from pulling every muscle dancing and cheering and clapping and my voice still hasn't managed to come back yet...

It all feels very surreal and like I dreamt the whole thing... me and my mate (who also popped her Prince cherry Sunday night) feel so, so lucky and incredibly privileged to have had that experience... I thought I was obsessed before I went, now it's a completely different story!!!
