Who else has caught last minute disease over the last few weeks?

By the time the 21st has been and gone I would have seen at least half of the main shows at the O2. The thing is, I'm not entirely sure how this happened. Initially we had after show tickets for the first and last nights, with 3 sets of main show tickets scattered throughout the 21 nights, one of which we had with aftershow.

We got to the O2 very early for the first night because we were going to check in to the hotel and go shopping. While there, we went to the box office and discovered the amazing joy of last minute seats. Somewhere along the way, 3 shows have turned into 8 with at least 3 more to come and I've been to 4 aftershows with at least 2 more to go.

I can't quite believe how this many shows have crept up on me, especially as I was more than happy with the tickets I had initially. Has anyone else been afflicted with this mysterious disease that leaves you too weak to resist? lol
RIP sad

I was planning around four, I've now been to seven main shows with another few on the radar. (If only I'd logged on to the Org 20 mins earlier today, I'd be going on the 21st... damn!)

Living in London with the best seats coming up late on Ticketmaster hasn't helped.

originally i was simply happy to go to the 24th show, up in the 4th tier, that turned into mayhem, no fourth tier and 5 shows and 3 aftershows later, plus 13th, 16th, 20th and hopefully the 21st to follow, missed flights, rebooked flights, missed the 28th aftershow, missed the 9th as well and the 6th, what is happenning to me eek eek eek eek eek
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

*sigh* I know it now becomes very embarrassing, I flew to L.V in March and went to 2 main shows after show and I am going back on the 21st.
The 22nd will be a sad day I will miss him! lol

Exactly best to do what you can when you can in life, sometimes you think 'Am I being crazy?' but then think if I hadn't of gone I would have missed out on alot of amazing shows!

My husband too! Non Prince fan & just doesn't understand my need to go to seven shows plus two aftershows! Would have done alot more given the chance but he is not keen on me coming home at 4am with strange men! I have been taking my 9yr old daughter which softens the blow for him as I say it is for her benefit, not mine lol

SOOO jealous. I would LOVE to have taken my girls (8 yr twinz) but just can't afford All of us to go - and getting them there etc. would worry me - and would pretty much rule out aftershows - even I struggle staying up to 4am! I started saying I'd go to 2, then managed to 'justify' a third show, then managed to convince my manager to arrange 'training' in London on 10th so I could 'sneak in' a fourth on 9th - would be mad to be in London and NOT go wouldn't it??? I've now of course, snuck in 2 aftershows - my husband just despairs really - esp. when I come home and look at bank balance and tell him we have to be more careful with our money and no - the kids can't go horseriding as that is expensive (how much have you spent on Prince is the obvious next question...) At least on 22nd I can perhaps start paying my husband some attention again! Mind you - if I lived closer to London I would have gone to LOT more! Then again, if I was single - I think I'd have done the whole lot as no-one to answer to!
If anybody asks you, I belong to Prince....

Hahaha, I actually think it's probably a good thing I'm single at the moment. cool

Given that I work night shifts, and have spent almost all of my nights off this summer making trips to London, I'd have surely been dumped by now! lol

Hmmm... unless she was a Prince fan.. though that could be dangerous... in other ways...

My daughter is totally converted now! Thankfully we only live 30 mins away so it's not a prob re lates nights & school etc! If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have gone to half as many as my husband would have filed for divorce.....but maybe that would be a good thing wink Oh to be single also or married to a Prince fan sad

I am lucky that the missus hasn't stopped me trying to go. She's been to see Prince a few times with me over the years, so she at least understands the habbit. By the end of this run she would have seen 5 main shows with aftershows at the O2, so it's not like she's been deprived.

But you do start to get a sense that it might be getting a bit much when your 2 year old says to your partner, "Mummy, is Daddy going to see Prince again tonight?" lol

Oops! Over dinner other night... daughter asked "mum, why didn't you just marry Prince instead of daddy?" - couldn't really answer that one as I could have done, as husband seated next to me at the time. Have tried time and again to explain, that I simply appreciate Prince's musical talent and that I love their daddy and that I would always choose to be with daddy rather than Prince. Only slightly fibbing I think is ok isn't it??? It's really only in the most outlandish dreams that I'm actually MARRIED to Prince! lol

My original 2 mainshows and aftershows has turned into 11 mainshows and 16 (OMG... I hadn't counted it until now *blush*) aftershows!

Oops... I do feel a bit obsessed right now!

My reason (excuse!) for this is that I remember how sad/low/tearful I've felt in the past reading about fantastic Prince aftershows that I've missed on some of his previous tours. I decided this year that wouldn't happen again.... and it hasn't!!

A weird thing happened the other night - I was feeling a little 'tired & emotional', reading reviews of some of the LV shows with that 'OMG I missed another Prince aftershow' tear in my eye..... THEN I remembered that the reason I was feeling 'tired & emotional' was because I'd been to 9 aftershows in the previous 5 weeks (and had to work most days too). I actually laughed out loud!

woot!

Can't understand why my bf thinks I'm weird!! lol
