Prince said somthing on this night thats stuck in my mind he said during Purple Rain "Let God Guide You". Im gonna do just that. Im so scared at the moment that im gonna lose my job cos mencap have run out of money i cant sleep. I dont know what i would do if that happend. But i just gotta trust in god that everything will turn out ok and he will guide me if this door closes with mencap another will open. I just wanted to share that.

Some people probably wince everytime Prince says something like that, especially during Purple Rain. It makes me fill up tho.

'Footprints'


One night I had a dream,
I dreamed I was walking along a beach with God,
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life,
for each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to me, the other to God.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and
saddest times of my life.

This really bothered me and I questioned God about it.
"God, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I noticed that during the most troublesome
time of my life there is only one set of footprints,
I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you would leave me?"

God replied.
"My precious precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you during
your times of trials and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Science is only as good as the day, constantly reviewing and contradicting itself...I have read about the same studies around the world as u, Jason, for conditions ranging from heart disease to cancer....in these cases recovery times were reduced, and survival rates increased by patients subject to prayer. It has also been shown that people who have spiritual faith, benefit in the same way.....Go figure. The nature of faith does not require 'proof'! I defend everyones right to their opinion, But also the right to respond with my own....it cuts both ways.

What studies?....where were they published? I did you the courtesy of referencing my assertions and asked you to do the same. Tell me which peer reviewed journal these studies you have read where published, so that I can read them and then maybe alter my opinion.

Have i started an argument on here. Didnt mean to do that but good to see people expressing there own opinions on the subject of religion it is important subject and everyone does have there own right to chose what they belive. I think its also important even if we dont agree with others opinions or beliefs to respect them and be sivil to one another. I apologise if i've been patronising in anyway trying to express my opinions somtimes i get carried away.
