You can tell from what?

All the interviews with ex-associates that say he is a control freak?

Or the women who gave him a pedicure at his hotel in London last week and confirmed that see was instructed not to look at him???
biggrin

You know what, I don't know about not looking at him, but if true I can totally understand the requests for certain people not to talk to him. If I had that power and the balls to do it I might do the same. I put it down to being shy offstage.

I can't stand getting my haircut because making idle chit-chat with a hairdresser really makes me nervous for some reason. I'm never going to socialise with that person, nor go there every week and have the same person to catch up with. Why should you feel the need to ask and answer meaningless crap just to fill a silence?

Yeah, I agree with that! I hate it when I go to the hairdressers and they seem to think it's obligatory to make idle meaningless chit chat with you. Why can't they just let you sit there, get your hair done, and leave. I'm quite happy just to sit there quietly and read a magazine or whatever I choose to do.

I think you can want things your way and still be a nice person, but that "Don't look at me" lie has been going around for so long it's pathetic. Tho I could understand it being uncomfortable to have people staring at you everywhere you go.

I have nothing to base it on other than my instinct, but I do believe Prince is a nice guy.

Having said that - he is also an incredibly rich and famous guy - so the fact that he can use his power over people or be a little egotistical sometimes doesn't mean he isn't a decent person...

The people that work with him have been around him for years. He works with the best musicians who could work with almost anybody. If he was as bad as some of the press made out - they wouldn't wanna be with him.

I think he is a really nice person and no one will convince me of anything else. He certainly gives me lots of pleasure!!! lol
so, what is the answer 2 the question of U

He looks after his fans....

How about the beautiful way he managed the Crystal Ball rollout....

Or how about the way he writes lovely letters to his fan sites.....

You can certainly see by the way he interacts with the audience and the high standards and quality of his music and shows that he is not a selfish person and that he does care about his fans

As for his offstage behaviours, if any of these rumours are true, I am sure he has plenty of reasons to act the way he does. He seems intelligent and experienced enough to know what's best for him by now.

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind...

Respect!

Everybody knows that the music business can be quite cut throat so he clearly hasn't got to where he has today being Mr Nice Guy all of the time. I've no doubt that professionally he can be quite ruthless at times. Irrespective of how difficult he may be portrayed occasionally, you can't help but respect the man for what he has achieved and accomplished in his life, and through him, what others have been given the opportunity to accomplish too. That doesn't make him a bad person at all. I'm sure that in "real life" he's gentle, respectful, and very very lovely. Whatever anybody says, we all love him and that's all that matters.

if any of you were prince fans back in the late 80´s, you might remember the crystal ball and contoversy magazine, anyway, my point is, on one issue there was a pic of him, in that polka dot suit from lovesexy, page 3 if i remember correctly, and it had the heading

"If only one person could understand"

and for you, Tori fan

"you can cut off all my fins, but to your ways I will not swim"

Prince is a nice guy, he is simply alittle mis understood, but in that respect he is not alone.....

"this summer has changed everything, goodnight"

forgot to mention, if anyone has the video of septimo where he plays "everyday people " with larry graham, will know that he is a good person, but when you want to strive for perfection you have to be a bastard and alittle crazy yes

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

"True to his status as the last enigma in music, Prince crashed into London this week in a ball of confusion" The Times 2014

I'd put money on most of his female fans lusting after him, even if it is in secret. Not me though, I think Prince is sexy as hell and don't care who knows!
