If There Was Standing At the Main Shows....

.....rather than floor seating how many of us would stand (remembering of course that the view may not be as good).
Me? Well I'm tall anyway so the view problem isn't such a big deal. However, I would choose standing over seating any time. smile

Everyone stands anyway - so it doesn't really make much difference. Does it?

If we're talking about The O2 in particular then I'd probably go for standing although I do like sitting in 102 and 111.

Well it does in a way. When you stand in a seat (more so in tiers I suppose though) you can still pretty much see. Also, you still have space between you and the person behind and in front. If it was all standing on the floor it would be more of a crush and more chance to have less of a view.

Aaaaargh!! This forum keep giving me an error in IE !!

I am only 5.2" the same as the purple god. I have been in 111-102x2-105-101-c2 & a3. out of the lot i would say that 102 was great. when we was on the floor we had a drunk going mad on the floor next to us. the staff looked at her and let her carry on she was not even from that area. Just pushed her way there.
prince saw her when he was singing crazy and pointed.wacky
But the view was great and he played the piano there. i think that prince likes it more when people are close to him. When he does the sudden encores more people run to that side of the stage standing he seems to get more into it.

It happens in Firefox too!

I see what you mean..... few years back i'd have preferred proper standing, being able to get real close n all that. These days i'm happy to stand but with a bit of space - like you say - so i think the floor seating but standing there works pretty well. Unless your short or purplepassion72 of course.

The only way to get round this is to have a floor like Brixton Academy, where it slopes from back to front - so no matter where you are or how tall/short you are everyone pretty much gets a superb view. Why other venues have not built standing areas (even temporary flooring) like this i have no idea.
