9 Sept - Awesome Aftershow

Started 1215am. Finished 3am almost exactly. Prince, the band.... Some of the deepest custs, wild guitar, quite a few hits. Amazing. Honoured to be there. You are the finest.

Was in the 2nd King's Row... behind quite a few of the band's friends and partners. Met half the band. Including one of the Twinz. Really nice girl. Awesome band.

There's so much more to this that I can't explain right now. Gotta take it all in first.

It was very very special.

Front row of the balcony.

Have to say tho, every time I looked up there, peeps were just sat down - doesn't seem so lively up there. In fact, the most activity is evident from the Indigo2 staff keep shining torches and lasers over people! (Am I the only one that thinks the laser thing is a bit dodgy - we're always told (and there are warnings on these products about shining lasers directly at people) that these can severely damage your eyes - yet, security just go ahead and fire you up with them.

As an aside, I've been quite happy with the staff so far, until one episode tonight. My girl couldn't make it and she texted me to see how it was - I was in the process of texting her back, when my collar gets felt by security. "Delete that picture, or get thrown out" - "I wasn't taking pictures, I was texting my girlfriend" - "Delete the picture or I'll throw you out" - "I didn't take a picture" - "You're still going to have to delete the picture" - "WHAT PICTURE?" - "Just delete the photo" - "Ok, look mate, I'll show you, if you need proof" (goes to Gallery on phone - being in a band myself, some of the pictures are of my band at a show, and although there are coloured lights and a stage in the pictures, they do not even remotely resemble Indigo2) - "There! Delete the pictures" - "Mate, they are not from this show, I am not deleting those pictures" - "Then you gotta go" - "For fucks sake!"(deletes one of my OWN show pictures) "Ok, satisfied now?" - bouncer walks off perhaps feeling he has acheived something? confused Dickhead!

Still, nothing could dampen tonight - NOTHING!

Speaking as an ophthalmologist - those laser pointers are not capable of delivering enough energy to the eye to cause any problems, unless you somehow manage to shine it in there for ages. Here endeth the lesson.
