Yeah I hate them too. They put tickets on sale whenever I leave my work desk and go to pointless but compulsory meetings.

Its not actually TM who decide when they are released it is AEG.
If you are a promoter and you use TM you have access into the back end of their system to select which tickets you want to release and when. So when you are saying you hate TM you actually mean you hate TM/AEG/the ticket selling process. I have to say i love the process as it means you can always pick up great seats on late availability [Edited 9/9/07 2:59am] the guitar is the best instrument in the world!

I think it's in their mission statement "...our aim is to ensure our world domination and so that the people will truly hate one company and not a multitude, one name in their dying breath should be heard above all others, that name will be Ticketmaster'
Obviously I'm paraphrasing

So when you are saying you hate TM you actually mean you hate TM/AEG/the ticket selling process. I have to say i love the process as it means you can always pick up great seats on late availability during normal sales the promotor would release tickets, but sometimes they get cancelations etc so the ticket agents put those tickets onsale asap to clear them. so if someone is caught with a camera and banned, your other show tickets are cancelled for other performances for example, so it could be a mix of those tickets as well as unsold vip tickets being released slowly. they also do this to try and prevent scalpers taking advantage
