Thames Clipper to O2

I went to the Prince concert on Friday 2 August (2nd night) and went straight home to book more tickets for the Wednesday 12 September gig.

I am thinking of booking the Thames Clipper VIP tickets (18 quid return) for London Bridge to O2 Arena. Does anyone know whether they are worth it?

slaphead

For your 18quid -As opposed to £8 for the normal retun fair - even less if you have a valid travel pass- you get a small bottle of Champagne on your outward journey & you get priority boarding in both directions. I've used the clipper 6 times now & haven't had any problems getting on board with the normal fare. So basically you're paying £10 for a £3 bottle of bubbly. I love the clipper though, it's such a civilsed way of getting to & from the O2. But if you want to treat yourself a (small) bottle of Champagne on the way to the gig is pretty cool!
If you don't want to go VIP, you just pay your 4 quid on the boat. You can also get a return on board, but that doesn't give priority boarding.
