Naomi,

You already have faith, courage and integrity (the most important things you will ever need in life) keep trusting God and the rest will naturally follow...

God bless you

God Bless you. I feel really good about my self today ive had 2 really nice complements at church earlia one saying how well i looked the other saying they saw me out with one of my residents and said how lovely i was with them. (im a carer!) And i do care about people which somtimes gets the better of me espechilly where the homeless are concerned. I just have alot of love to give and want to bless as many people as possible either with a hug or a smile or with giving some money. As they say it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Anyway God Bless Everyone xxx

No. I have. If u had been born in Pakistan rather than the West you'd believe in a different fairy tale. I have no problem with people who follow whoever they want, but please don't assume that the rest of us just don't get it. Its totally random where you were born as to which fairy tale you believe in. Take some responsibility in yourself rather than leaving it to Sants Claus to sort it all out for you.
wink

I must say im abit offended by your remarks that what i belive is just a fairy tale. Who are you to say that how do you know its just a fairy tale hey what gave you the anwers?
I dont understand why your so convinced that every religion is a fairy tale. Im telling you this now The lord God almighty father son and holy spirit is the one true God. He sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to save us from our sins. You will have a big shock the day you die when your standing in front of your maker what will you say to him hey will you still say you are just a fairy tale? I want to know your answer??? mad

All I'm saying is that this is a story you believe in because you were told this or it was drummed into you as a child. If you grew up in Iran, another story would be drummed into you and you would believe that just as strongly. I choose not to believe in fairies and santa claus thats all. You believe in your stories just like other people believe in their's. A muslim thinks his maker is different to yours. Is he wrong? Listen, if it makes you feel better, then thats great. Really. As I said I have no problem with people who believe in these stories or if faith truly helps them get through adversity. Just don't be so patronising to those who choose not to.
As to your point about standing there in front of my maker? Well, that sort of believe or burn crap that hooks most people doesn't work with me. I always liked the fairy stories that weren't based on fear as a child. smile

Absolutely. I respect anyone who chooses to believe in whatever they want. I've said that already. But please respect others who don't share the same. We are neither unwise or uncourageous or deluded.
I have 3 small kids and an ill 80 year old mum who I talk to or see everyday. I spend my life giving to others. I have gone through many low ebbs and have found my own inner strengh to carry on. Its worked fine for me. I don't pious lectures from you, Celeste, on being arrogant and vain, thank you. You do your cause no good at all.
If I do meet my maker I'll tell him I'm very sorry and that I was rude, deluded, vain and selfish in my life on earth. Happy?

Wasn't having a go in case that's what you thought - i meant it more generally

As far as i'm concerned respecting people's beliefs and not judging others isn't conditional to their opinions being similar to mine - ya dig?

well it wasnt drummed in to me as a child. I went to church yes but the decision to become a christian was my own. My pearents did not baptise me as a baby i decided that at 16. They let me make my own decision which i grately respect them for doing that. Im not patronising on purpose im sorry if im am. Im not great at arguments and confrontation so sorry. I respect your beliefs and wish you all the best.

I have just read some of this thread

I am not going to post anything personal here, but i hear what alot of you are saying.

from every experience one can learn, no matter how bad that experience was, I hope none of you lose your jobs, I have been there and know what it is like, hold your head up high and dont let the bastards, system, religions and the opinions of others bring you down.

if there were more honest people in the world and if people could face up to the truth, it might just be a better place to live in.

Peace to you all
