Holler(!) if you were at 2nite's show

Okay I'm a new member on this board, but a long term prince fan. It was my sixth show tonight, and it was good, okay, it was great, but...not as amazing as the 1st September, now that was a show to end all shows! Cool to hear `Morning Papers, so sweet and Insatiable, wooohoooo! Loved the costume changes, and the laid backed session towards the end. But give me the whole of `Erotic City', yes it's funky, but we (the hardcore prince fans) can handle it in it's entirety! lol

Snap! my 6th show 2night, I wasn't there on the 1st but I thought tonight was AMAZING eek The best show I've seen - Insatiable! The Morning Papers! An incredible rendition of The Beautiful Ones! I was sitting right behind P in block 102 and could see that he was pouring his soul into that song. No rubbish audience on stage (apart from one drunk who somehow clambered up), no run of endless covers. I have to write a full review, and I expect to hear amazing things about the aftershow as well.

Roll on Sunday for show no. 7 Woo-hoo!!! lol lol lol

Hi, I'm hoping to go to the 9th too, but being at work, I can't access TM, but there's always Saturday. Yes he did a longer version of BO, compared to other nights that I've been. Yes he should do away with the rubbish audience on stage, unless of course the real funky fans go up there....like me! And glad about the lack of covers, tho' Crazy' is cool, so I'll allow that one. He even did abit of Elton John on the piano. I have to head off to bed now, soo keep em' coming.

I just got back. I had a great time though I was a lil distracted by the O2 staff member who kept sending people to the wrong place so folks were coming back and forth all the time. The good thing was they stopped all the people from blocking my view by moving them on all the time.
Anyway D2 are great seats and as I was in seat 32 in Row C no one was in front of me (this side is for the freaks the ones in the F sections were too lazy - Prince said it not me). Prince was fantastic and as the live update thread shows the setlist was amazing. How does this man stay so young looking? He brought out the wedge trainers with lights again which was great as my mate didnt believe me when I told her about them before. I loved every minute there was times when I stopped dancing and looked at him in amazement. Crowd were really singing tonight good atmosphere. Saw a great big sparkerly gold symbol that someone was waving.

It was. He got us to sing a few lines but it wasn't a full version.

Don't worry, you didn't miss anything you haven't heard already. biggrin

Wasn't a full version and he's done a bit more of it on other nights. I seem to remember it not getting much past, 'totting a machine gun' before heading off into Pop Life.

I might be recalling it slightly wrong but we definitely didn't get a lot of it. I'm feeling a bit sleepy still as I also went to the aftershow. Tired now but definitely worth it.
RIP sad

Last night was my third show, and the best yet - perhaps due to some great seats in D1, some good company, an awesome setlist and a seemingly never-ending performance.

I can't really understand the audience members who have a problem with other people cheering and screaming... the guy in front of me (who stood the entire evening arms folded or covering his ears) turned around and asked my husband to be quiet, as we were "seeing Prince, not Megadeth."

Are these people who have never been to a concert before? In my concert experience, it's usually acceptable to be enthusiastic...

Does anyone have the setlist in full yet?

Ditto..The o2 staff were my only complaint of the night, the rest was absolutely fantastic..The floor experience is really cool..Ur soo close to him and you can see all of his expressions..Its was if he looked right at you..I loved it! When Cora threw out her drumsticks I was convinced it was gonna be me that caught one but it ricocheted off the bottom of the seats in front of me and in the end a girl in the stage suite gave it to a bloke behind me..He did say thanks bless him and I'm not sure what I would have done with it anyway..I took my boyfriend with me this time who isn't a big fan and he was going mental all the way through..He was in awe..We went round to B2 for the piano encore just to get that bit closer..Were you the couple at the end of row c? Was that older lady with yous?

He did exactly 1 minute 30 seconds of SOTT on 1st September. I know that as on the way home from the show in the car I put it on the cd and checked the timer to exactly where he stopped singing it. 1 minute 30 seconds. Exactly.

He could change the F word in Erotic City to Funk and like u said do the song!

Naa we was at the other side of Row C 31 and 32, the twit who worked for 02 even had us move for a sec to check our seat numbers and still sent people to the wrong seat, he was beyond stuck on stupid. Anyone from the arena that reads this train the staff to know the seat area that they are working in so I dont get people coming past me when i'm in D2 staring at Prince. In fact people get to your seats before 8:40pm I wanna enjoy the show. Did anyone hear the 20 seconds of 'Nasty Girl' or was that my hearing?

That's terrible! I must admit that I had to ask some blokes behind me to talk quieter as they were chatting quite loudly during Morning Papers - and I wasn't having that! They weren't even listening to Prince. neutral

Yep I hate people talking through stuff they obviously don't know, very selfish, I also had people next to me in B2 just sat there looking bored!!! and ones in front arms folded, found it quite fake they only danced and clapped when P came to end of stage but me and my mate were dancing all the time!
