The best is Dance Music Sex Romance by Per Nilsen, who is some sort of walking Prince database himself!

The rest aren't worth bothering with, although Purple Reign/Slave to the Rhythm by Liz Jones is okay.

There are also some earlier books: Prince by Steven Ivory published by bantam books, The Complete guide to the music of Prince by Geoff Brown published by omnibus press and Prince "Imp of the perverse" by Barney Hoskyns published by Virgin. cool

Prince - A documentary by Per Nilsen

i call it the bible, but if you can get your hands on a book called the Vault, that is the complete scriptures and ancient written stuff yes
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Speaking of books, whats the tour book like? Seems expensive enough at £15. Does it give much info about the band or is it just full of pictures?

biggrin It is quite a funky book and a cool record of the tour but for the purists i would say! smile Incidently many years ago i remember going into the main virgin megastore in oxford street and browsed a book with all of prince's lyrics in including a lot of unreleased stuff. Anybody know about this? cool
