He was on fire last night. The Best gig I've ever been to...

I went to the gig on the 6th and I was totally blown away.

Okay, okay...I know that this is just one little gig in a big ocean of 21, but I was absoloutely blown away by Prince's energy and enthusiasm...

I saw him on the 14th which was a brilliant show and I really enjoyed it...but last night was something else entirely.

Could it be because he had a five day break in between shows that he seemed so energised?

He talked to the crowd more than ever ("21 nights in London? Should be more like 52, huh?) and his dancing was brilliant.

He sang some of my absoloute favourite's such as SOMETIMES IT SNOWS IN APRIL...THE BEAUTIFUL ONES...WHEN DOVES CRY...BLACK SWEAT....

Such a great performance. Has turned me from casual fan into a possible obsessive.

He just did the beginning of U.

I thought that it was such a cool night. Prince really interacted with the fans.

Tell us about singing 'When Doves Cry'. Was it the whole song? Was it the whole band? etc? I know he's been triggering samples of it, but was this a proper performance for the first time this tour?

COMPLETELY AGREE WITH U! he was on top form last night - s**t loads of energy, most ive seen him dance which was amazing. I was already an obsessive, didnt think it was posSible to be more obsessed but i am after last night!

Not one negative thing to say, the show was perfect from start to finish. (Have to add loved MIKE PHILLIPS solo - he sounded amazing and the arena looked fantastic)

All in all - LAST NIGHT LEFT ME SPEECHLESS!!!! cant believe ive only got 1 more show left sad

I don't think there has been a show yet where some people haven't said...

"Best show yet"

"Prince was on fire"

"He was in a great mood"

"He was in the best mood I've seen him!"

"He's going to do an aftershow he's so up for it"

I think it simply shows what a professional he is in his performances.

It was a special performance, no doubt about that. But as for being his best yet, or his energy levels... remember that this show was 45 mins + shorter than at least one other show. Many people are shocked at how short these shows are. Last night he was on stage for 90 minutes max.

I agree that he is so good at his job that he makes it seem so effortless and easy. It is very easy to get hyped up and get a great vibe from any of his shows. This was my 8th show last night and as you know, I felt I'd been heading towards Prince burnout. Especially after the last couple of shows had seen very little different and new, so it was all starting to get a bit familiar.

I've had the lows of the 18th, (aftershow aside), and the highs of the 7th and 14th too. Yesterday was up there with the 7th and 14th in my opinion. Apart from the 18th, I've come out of every show with a great feeling but at the end of last night I felt especially good. The piano set in particular was the best yet and Prince really did seem to be in a great mood. I wouldn't say he was in the best mood I've ever seen him and I'd never dare to assume an appearance at an aftershow based on a main show. biggrin
RIP sad

totally agree - I was at both of those shows and last night took first place from the 14th for me. The energy/atmosphere during the synth set was completely unbelievable

and the "this is MY house" shit was just glorious!

so much better than the last one i went to (25th)
i ain't looking for a 1 night stand...
