6 September Insanely Good

saw the 31st show from row v in bk112 lower tier, and i don't know if prince had a little chat with the technical crew or if the show is just that much better if you're closer (last night bk111 row d), but it felt like a different show last night. and what a show. to be no more than ten metres from him and on the same level for the perfect purple rain solo was nothing short of a spiritual experience. being closer also meant that the in-the-round staging gives you a chance to see the audience from prince's perspective- amazing to see a full stadium doing the 'air-push'. he didn't pitch for the aftershow on friday so this was a double treat. have never been to an aftershow, and it's always been a dream of mine to see one. i must say that the 16 years of build-up was answered and blown away by the utter brilliance of last night's performance. I thought Prince's guitar playing was off the hook, but most props go to the audiences of both the main and aftershow. You/we/they were pushing out so much love, and prince responded with some of his own. I've flown in from South Africa to see these shows and last night reminded me of the reason why. peace and love to everyone who shared the night with me.

Wow. Am bit emotional after last night's marathon so your heartfelt post really hit me- tear to the eye and all that. There was such a fantastic sense of Joy & Love last night from all quarters. I'm so delighted that you got what you've waited for. Safe journey home!x
