Aftershow 6/09

Another super bad Aftershow! He came on early, I think it was 12.45, and played a whole set with Shelby, the energy-bomb - the usual stuff, Sugar Mama, Baby Love, Crazy, Honky Tonk Woman and quite a few more. Then she went off for a while and he launched into
Planet Earth!!! There were some gasps of disbelief behind me. This was followed by
Guitar
Somewhere Here on Earth and
The 1 U Wanna C! The crowd absolutely loved the new stuff.
Then
When u were mine,
Anotherloverholeinyohead and quite a few others. Someone else please do a complete set list.
But the best was the last encore: Chelsea Rogers!!! Finally! My god, it was so long overdue that we, the crowd, sang so loud, we shouted it out so bad, that I could hardly hear the band play!!!

He played until 2.15, I think - about 90 min

A few times he came onto the plinth-type thing in front of the stage, between the speakers that point back to the stage. I was standing right there in 2nd row and was then no more than a foot away from him. He wouldn't touch our hands so I briefly touched his foot - sorry, but I just had to!
I did touch Shelby's hand though when she came to stand there, which she did quite a few times. She looked really classy tonight, real great outfit. Prince was in a yellow suit with a hood which he kept putting on but it kept falling off.

Great Aftershow and my 2nd favorite so far, after the 28th August of course. The second half saw Prince play 5 tracks from Planet Earth and everybody went crazy during Chelsea Rodgers. What on earth will the 21st be like?? omg

I just want to add that the audience tonight at the aftershow was fantastic!!
I was in the first rows and they were no drunks this time...the vibe was UNBELIEVABLE and Prince delivered beyond any expectations. I was at the aftershow on the opening night and this one was a million times better. I had the time of my life and I believe that so did Prince. He looked like he was having so much fun. I'm in love, I'm in love , I'm in love !!!

Oh yes, the bass solo, too right, that was so funky! The crowd were still chanting Funky London, so I couldn't hear some of it so well.

Yes, I agree, they were the best crowd ever, no drunks at all at the front were I was. Just people unbelievably into it. Thanks guys!

At one point he was so bowled over I think by the level of noise the crowd was making when he came back out for another encore that he just lay down on the floor. Stayed there for a bit... Like in the Rave Un2 video. That guy is just crazy! Can't help but love him.

He changed the lyrics on Guitar, "I'll write a letter when I learn how to spell, until that day you can - got to heaven..." with that grin

Man, I can't go to bed now, yet I'll have to go to work soon!

Sitting next to pretty excited party pepple, so that's good! My purple beret is getting a few comments, chuffed about that (Dyed it myself, it was white a couple of days ago!)
Arena filling up nicely now. Behind me someone with very sweet small daughter, also wearing a very cool hat.
OMG, 8.40 and lights r out!

maybe a sign to a great aftershow, going green with envy here in germany, knew it was a mistake to get on that plane yesterday

how right i was, and he played Chelsea Rodgers, what was that like live, please put me out of my misery razz

Last nights was a pretty close second best after the 28th. Fantastic cool

Just one small moan, the girl holding the huge prince up near the front, leave it at home next time, think of the folk behind who's view is spoiled by you waving the damn thing high in the air. Its selfish.
Moan over.

Here's looking forwqard to Sunday biggrin

Hi FA, I was hosting a corporate box last night! Onbehalf of the council, I don't work for the O2. The views from the boxes are great, and you can dance your ass off, but alas I had to be all professional, so just rocked from side to side, looking proudly at the purple one.

Last night was just plain ridiculous. Mind blowing on every single level.
He looked HOT, loads of stuff from Planet Earth (at one point I thought he was going to play the entire album in sequence) , a killer version of When you were mine and to top it off, a cover of Kylie Minogue!! wowwowowowowowoowowowowowoow

Barely slept was on such a high.

It felt like everything came together at Indigo last night and the first since the tour opened I felt like the entire club was full of fans.

incredible.

Fastastic Aftershow - even better than the one on the 1st September for me. Mind you, I was in the balcony for that show and down on the floor this time!

I wasn't going to go to any more dates after this one but after a show like last night.....

My favs were Planet Earth, Somewhere here on Earth and When You Were Mine, first 2 as you could hear his voice so clear. His voice was so amazing on The Beautiful Ones in the main show, he sang it with such passion like on PR
