I share your enthusiasm...I got one he threw onto the stage when he'd used it at the Koko in May. The guitar tech leant forward to get it (it was out of anyone's reach) and I leant forward, caught his eye and just mouthed over to him with fluttery eyelashes "could I please have it?" and he handed it to me!!!

It's in my purse - am going to get it framed!!

smile Well, I was thinking to do it without putting a hole in it, which I agree would be a shame. You could use silver wire around it...maybe ask at a jewellers/bead shop?

Just thought I'd add my two pennys worth...

I have a plectrum from the Astoria gig in 1995, given to me on request by Prince's then stagehand, James "Mcgoo" McGregor (hes in the days of wild video.

I framed it!

Just an idea.

they used to sell the pics on the npg website - 10 packs in a little pouch, the used to sell them on necklaces too! - i have one, but i can't bring myself to use them!

i think you used to be able get them in the camden shop too, but they were a different design

I saw prince drop a pick on the 6th sept Aftershow. I told the bouncer on the stairs When the band walk off stage im gonna jump on stage and pinch it.

I did it and got a good telling off. I appolagised. Lucky some nice young ladies backed me up. I did warn him bout 5 times.

He demanded it back I refused after 5 mins the bouncer laughed and shook my hand.

I was gonna glue it to me guitaar but might just frame it

Im sure prince dropped it there to wind me up cos ive been signaling him for 100's of shows for a pick.

I don't know but I just mentally called him Ian, because he reminded me of Tim Robbins' character in High Fidelity biggrin

i put a needle in a piece of cork heated it up with a flame until it glowed red and put it on the plectrum where i wanted a hole and it melts through i had to heat the needle up a few times to make the hole big/clear enough to thread my metal hoop through, make sure you keep the plectrum away from the flame cos otherwise you will end up melting more than you want lol

i did my hole a few mm in so it wasnt to close to the edge

2 warnings make sure you put the needle in a piece of cork or something similar because the heat travels up the needle and you end up with burnt fingers if you dont and the other thing make sure you are in an area with lots of air (outside/open a window) cos the plastic stinks when you melt it

i will post a pic of mine if you want when i get home at uni at the moment and need to take a pic etc

for some reason i think of him as called eric no idea why lol

I got his 'Love God (in Prince's curly handwriting)' plectrum from his Glasgow '92 show. Then I spotted them for sale at the Camden shop a few years later. But they were different, cheaper and thinner versions that just looked the same.

I always suspected that those cloud guitars they were selling were the same deal: perfect looking facsimiles, but not something to the standard Prince would actually use himself. Might be wrong on that one.

from what i understand, the replicas at the camden shop that were £5,000 were to be authorised by prince and made by the luthier that made the real clouds. these are different to the schecter copies that were sold later for $1,000 and $1,500

btw, prince's current guitar tech (with the long ponytail) is called bill

the luither ones i believe were made to order by paisley park

100's of them but prince only picked up bout 12

so i guess the guitars technically speaking are stolen although law says if dont pick up in a month you can do want you want with them. but they come with a cert saying made and ordered for paisley park

the esp ones were made for a metal band and are very different

floyd rose locking trem different

my fave is the model c i wud kill for that guitar

why dont he use it they cost aprx 12k for the model c
