o2 review 5th september LIVE UPDATES

Chilling out with a bottle of white in the raan bar before going through to see elton and his red piano.

In block 101 which should have a good view of the stage and all the inflatables.

Oops wrong forum lol wink

Gonna be weird going to a show and not keeping everyone up to date smile

Yeah, its his red piano show. First time its aired outside las vegas. I've never seen him live before but I've heard he is quite a showman and the red piano is supposed to be quite a visually spectacular show. Not a huge fan of his and so several tracks on set list I don't know but couldn't be bothered to download and gem up on them.

Better than sitting at home watching tv or practicing guitar though and will help break up the prince shows a bit. Was starting to get prince main show fatigue after the 6 so far. Going again sunday smile

Ok elton show has finished. Actually really enjoyed the show and the visuals and music were spot on. Crowd for an elton concert is bordering on dead rather than lively though. Even the floor seats were seated. We finally partied with last 4 tracks in the side seats and that was ahead of many on the floor.

On a note that is relevent to this forum the sound quality was pretty shite. Its deffo not state of the art. I was in 101 which was prolly one of top 200 seats in the venue and the sound was not fab with a big echo coming out of the back of the venue.was similar to a lot of the prince quality of sound which surprised me. I thought end om would be much easier to balance.

I could see all the prince equip hanging in the sky of the venue ready for tomorrow night so shouldn't be difficult for them to set up etc

Overall a very enjoyable evening if not the party it could have been given a crowd ready to stand and dance. Roll on sunday and the c2 row b seats. Can't wait for a proper crowd really digging the music.

On a personal note I thought wlton looked like a 20 year old when at the piano and a 60 year old struggling to walk at other times. A true great showing his age. Although p at 49 still performs like it was 1999 (and before!!!!)

Service backb to normal on sunday with proper live updates from our fav pyrple stilettoed midget and hpefully. a rousing rendition of 'guitar'

heheh.

I was curious about this - what happens to the stage? Do they take the Prince stage down and put up a new one? Or just have something to cover it? Could you tell?

They take down the stage but it looked like they left most of the rig in the ceiling in place (just lifted up into the roof as high as possible).

You can just about see it in a picture I took last night http://www.facebook.com/p...=732796077
