Friday Night Quick Review

OK guys, it#s 3:20am as I'm typing this, that's dedication for ya! wink

First the soundcheck was really great. They organised the seating arrangements really well and it all went smoothy. Prince asked some people up on stage to sing. One woman was asked up to sing Manic Monday, elected to sing Girls and Boys instead, and forgot the words, but with the help of the NPGMC she eventually remembered them and did ok. One woman did an amazing version of HCUDCM, which even impressed Prince. But the highlight for me was a guy (I think he was Scandinavian by his accent) singing Shake.(with the accent) He was so bad he was good!

As for the gig, it was great. Highlights for tonight were When U Were Mine, Power Fantastic, Sometimes it Snows in April, Anna Stesia, and his impression of Ozzy Osbourne!

But, if I have to be honest, the first night was better than tonight which was weird, because the crowd was way better tonight, they got more into it, even booing him really loudly when he started Sometimes it Snows, then he stopped after the first line saying we weren't ready, everyone booed and Prince then said he was gonna sing it 'cos we scared him so much smile. There was just something about the first show that was more special about tonight, But hey, it was still a fantastic experience.

The aftershow was OK, but we left after a couple of hours 'cos it got too full and you couldn't even dance towards the end. Plus there was no chance of a performance, though better things are rumoured for Saturday.

See you all tomorrow!!!

It's true that the first night was better as far as songs played. Tonight (Friday) there was no Bambi, Whole Lotta Love, Adore, Empty Room.

However it was still awesome, and I can't believe how good it feels being so close to the front. Being at the soundcheck makes you feel as though you are witnessing something special.

Hello to all the cool people I met tonight as well:

Joey Coco (and friend, sorry guys can't remember the real names), Stefan from Belgium, Kevin from Dublin, Lee, Misssrendipity, etc
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

booing him is a sign of a better crowd? confuse

There is a lot of humour in this guys facial expressions alone. His wit and humour, judging by his replies to the comments being fired from the audience in the soundcheck, were sharp and hilarious.
The dutch guys asking questions in dutch, his replies, which he tied into "like when Candy and her mother are together and they think I don't know what they're talkin' 'bout... I know what y'all talkin' 'bout.

It was a joy and a privelige to witness, in such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
