a vip ticket question ???

does anybody know WHEN (what date ) ticketmaster changed the vip tickets from ' the first ten rows on the floor ' to ' the first ten rows on the floor AND the first ten rows of the lower tiers ' ????....i am not letting them get away with the pathetic excuse for a vip experience me and brother where given on the opening night for the princely sum of 480 pounds ???...i would have put up with all the shit if we had been given the seats we had paid for....the first 10 rows on the floor but we didnt get that so i want my money back and i will get it .... mad

...got to the o2 around six which was the time stated on the tickets that the vips would be allowed into the arena...well this , of course , didnt happen and they left us queing up until 6.30 before they finally opened the doors which was bad enough...so we got a wristband on and where given a free cd ...no programme, no goodie bag...nothing..!!!!..

so i said ok ...it can only get better as we have paid 200 quid over the normal cost of the ticket for this so it must be great in the backstage bar !!!!...got into the backstage bar and we were given a drink as we entered and we took a seat overlooking the arena which looked amazing...so we sat there having a drink and wondering when we would get some of our 400 pound buffet ???...time went by and i went to the bar to get another drink...we had three vouchers each...one for beer or wine and two vouchers for a spirit ????....so if you happened to prefer spirits...you could only get one free drink at the bar ??? ( am i wrong in thinking they are talking the piss with this ??? ) ..

so i got a beer and went and sat down and after about half an hour, we managed to grab some small portions of food off a passing waiter...( you had to move fast or you got nothing )...me and my brother both got a few small portions of food but were so hungry when we took our poor vip seats in the corner ...i had to get two hot dogs ???... the backstage bar was getting busy after about an hour and at this stage...the bar was so busy ...my brother took over half an hour trying to get a drink..(they only had three bar staff on ??? )...I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW BAD IT WAS !!! and how little we got...i didnt feel like a vip at all...i just felt ripped off but as i said...i wasnt going to let it spoil my concert experience....so at 8.15 ...they told us to leave the backstage area and head for our seats...we were told that we couldnt go out the way we came in as thats were our corner seats were...we had to walk right round the whole arena to get to our seats and missed the start of the concert ???.....

once there ...we enjoyed the concert although the ending was a bit of a mess with the lights going up and then he came back for another 20 minutes which was a bit chaotic but he is great live.....

went to aftershow...was very tired and a bit drunk..stayed til 2.30...saw a bit of prince but was out on my feet so jumped a taxi back to hotel....

do not know when personally, i believe it was in the first few days.


Unique has had some success with this issue i believe.

look at some of his posts both here and hq- he gives very explicit instructions that bought him success.

Just checked out the e-mails i had kept re my order n between the original advert we all recieved on the 10/05 to my order history being e-mailed 2 me from tm on the 22/05 u can clearly c where the seating plan has been changed 2 incorporate the 1st 10 rows in the lower tier-hope this helps...i had an e-mail 2day from maxine @ aeglive re my complaint that i e-mailed to them y'day asking me 2 give her a call 2moro 2 further discuss my complaint-will keep u updated...

We were in D1 row K-Thames cruise on the opening nite-have now been offered a refund,not sure how much 4-have been told it will take about 2 weeks 2 sort it out-delighted someones finally listening 2 us!!

Thanks for that about the radio and newspaper - rather nerve racking going on programme live but have now been given two VIP tickets for 9th September - lots of other people having success too. Just unfortunate we have to complain but at least they are now listening lol Have had a great time at all the concerts but the VIP treatment did upset me at the time - still, always well that ends well!!! biggrin

So Blackbob you will be listened to if you get in touch with the right people and put your case forward - they are doing their best now to help all the people who they think lost out - and it sounds as though you did.

If it helps u i e-mailed my very lengthy complaint 2 hospitality@aeglive.co.uk on wednesday askn them 2 reply within 48hrs which they did(24hrs 2 b precise)n by friday it was sorted...n remember my fellow glaswegian - keep the heid....

interesting, what did you actually complain about as you got row J which is first 10 rows. I've put in ta lengthy complaint about the whole experience and specifically lack of "entertainment" as promised. It's been forwarded on apparently but still waiting. Glad you've had some measure of success.

Thanku...our seats were in row K which granted is within the 1st 10 rows but the view n sound where awful!!like ure good self our complaint is about the whole experience manly the mis-management of the "VIP"packages - i can 4ward u on a copy of the e-mail i sent 2 them if u like - it might give u a few pointers u had'nt thought about...my sister was well impressed!!

well i have phoned and emailed both tm and aeg and i havent got anywhere yet...will give it til tomorrow then phone up again and this time they wont fob me off with any....oh you need to email us bull..... mad

Email ticketmaster, giving them 7 days to respond. If they don't, make an online small claim, including your submission fee, stating the times and names when you tried to resolve the issue, along with the reasons you are asking for a refund.

Bet they pay up within 14 days. of the submission!

When you rang AEG did your call go to answerphone?. I must have been really lucky because my call was answered straight away. They took my number, promised to ring me back, which they did and then sorted out the problem. Hope you do have some luck. What number are you ringing?

It was Maxinne I spoke to. I can only think that they are being inundated with calls at the moment. It was Tuesday last week when mine was sorted out. I really do hope they sort things for you.

I spoke to Maxine about an hour ago cos of the abyssmal excuse for a reception I went to on the first night. (As soon as she knew it was the 1st she was immediately more sympathetic, so they obviously know it was particularly bad that evening)
Anyway, she advised me to send a thorough email to Julie Mann explaining everything and I would get some sort of refund. Or I could choose to go VIP again on 20th Sept (or another date she offered but can't remember what it was). The only day I can go again is the 21st though, and she said that was completely sold out, so I'll have to go for the refund. (Oh, unless she said, I could get hold of normal price tickets for 21st and then they would upgrade them, but can't see me getting that lucky this late on.)
What a mess! (now I wish I'd bothered with all this weeks ago)

Yep, I had noticed that too and pointed it out to her but she could only offer to 'upgrade' me to a VIP on that night if got hold of £31.21 tickets!

it was about 18.35...35 minutes of standing about....i felt like a real vip straight away disbelief....i knew then it was going to be bad....didnt know just HOW bad !!!!

It was the same when we went on 11/8. We weren't allowed in until 6.30!

Yeah. I was at the front and they told us the tickets did not have the right picture on. They weren't out till September?

I said that they must be right or else about 100 people all had fake tickets! Not! Muppets. They laughed at Kat when we complained. I had to be restrained from doing something I'd regret!

well thats 4 emails to aeg and ticketmaster and 2 phone calls....said they would look into it on the phone but no refund yet ??? confused if they dont want to see my angry side ...they will need to do something quick pissed

By the way blackbob, on the first night were you near the front of the so-called VIP queue that formed over on the right-hand side and shouting the odd question at the security guards cos we didn't know what was going on? I only ask, cos I was standing just behind a tall man in that area who looked like your avatar picture smile

no...i am quiet and polite....just dont tell them that...have you heard anything yet ??....it was a shambles...i dont normally complain but i cant let this go....i wasnt even on the floor for christ sake !!!...some poor lower tier corner seat with poor sound....480 bucks !!!....i dont think so...

sad Can't believe that you are still getting nowhere with this. This time last week they emailed me my replacement VIP tickets - for which I am very grateful. Hope things get sorted out to your satisfaction. If they offer you any tickets for 16th September - I am despeerate to go lol lol
