I'm starting to get all Princed out!

Sitting at home tonight, I actually felt relieved not to be winging my way to the O2 again! I flipped on the V+ box, and watched Wednesday's episode of Heroes and I was acutally glad to be home, instead of making the usual trip from Cambridgeshire to London! Whats happening to me!!!!??? eek

Originally, I was going to all 21 shows. I decided to water that down to 12. Much as I'm loving having Prince down the road, I think seeing so many dates so soon, I'm beginning to lose my appreiciation for the individual gigs.

The shows are fantastic, and I'm sure I will look back and say, "I should have gone to all 21", but the reality is, I think I'm going to cut back to only two more shows, so that I will apprieciate them more.

I'm now so familiar with the sets that I can follow every one of Princes band commands and signals within the set! Its like being told how a magic trick is done.

Worst still, when I play Prince in the car now, I've started to do the Twinz dances! If you see a guy drving along the M11 in a black Merc doing strange robotic movements, then you know thats me listening to Controvery!

Prince, I know I don't have to watch big brother to have an attitude! I know there are so many hits and so little time. I know that London is funky. And I know we ain't ready for Erotic City! lol

My body doesn't seem to handle the tours as well anymore, and this is the easiest for me to follow by far! Anyone else loving the fact that P is here, but struggling to keep up with a Purple guy much older than them!?!? biggrin

Oh, and by the way....I can't wait until my next show.....its like crack.....

Thats one of the remaining shows you couldn't keep me away from! I'm looking forward to the main and aftershow, but I think there will be a tinge of sadness, because I have a feeling that the 21st will be Prince's final "big" show on these shores..... sad

I'm still stopping my evenings when I'm not there to check on the live set list updates!

I'm like a jealous lover! I'm excited, but fearful Prince will cheat on me and sing Chelsea Rodgers on a night I'm not there!

That cracked me up and I can totally relate. lol lol lol

I've been having the same feelings tonight and also have tickets for two more, thinking that would be enough and then I'd be satisfied. However, seating reading the org tonight, I've suddenly got hyped up again, so am gonna head down on Thursday for the main and aftershows.

I realised that if I didn't go, it would be the only week he's been doing shows that I hadn't attended. It just seems rude to miss a week. lol lol

We've got some sort of Prince disease!

I'm must stay strong. I'm going to go on the 9th and 21st (main and aftershow) and no more!

Unless those lovely cheap gold circle seats pop up again on the day...! Arrh! lol

Agreed! Are you also finding that you're now playing down the number of shows attended when talking to people? The people at work are starting to think I'm a little wierd now. lol lol lol

It's hard for non-fans, who have attended shows by different artists to comprehend how he mixes things up and makes it different each night. It's weird because nobody bats an eyelid if I go to watch Arsenal each week and I'd argue that they actually do less things different than Prince does each night.

That's what has been the killer for me too, they are so hard to resist, especially at the price they are. And at the end of the day is it really better to be sitting in watching Heroes? We watched Snakes On A Plane on Sky tonight and while it was mildly entertaining, deep down I couldn't help but feel I should be elsewhere. biggrin

And we also know what a trombone, that it isn't a sample and that Cora plays real drums. biggrin

He cracked me up with the drum comments on Friday. "These are real drums, I expect you haven't seen those in a while".

Err, actually Prince, about half an hour ago the support act had them too. lol

i'm actaully kind of proud of my constitution on this Prince stint!

I'm 32 and i can't remember the last time i partied till for in the morning and then hung around for a 5.30 tube, and still managed to go to work everyday!

it's not often that i'm awake as the sunrises! welcome to the dawn!

Prince must have some kind of eternal youth thing that's rubbed of on me!

i've only got tickets for 2 more shows/aftershows though! sad
