21 Nights in London : the live album

Having not 'properly' released Planet Earth in the UK it strikes me that Prince could do far worse than to release an official live album of the London residency including some aftershow performances.

From some of the reports here on the Org it seems like he's been on top form and it would be great to have an official record of this event.

Any chance do you reckon?

He has done is hits over and over and over.
And now again.
Why need them live?
There's already enough to gotten elsewhere. (can't tell you, sorry)

I was thinking how cool it would be if Prince made a CD of each show available either at the venue or on the internet like many other artists have done recently.

I would much prefer he does a DVD edition with aftershow included. Coz the visual spectacle is equally as amazing as the audible content.

ha ha. biggrin

Seriously, that night was incredible, it was a privilege to be there, and releasing a show of that would cement his place in musical folklore.

This rumour is given weight by the fact that a week or so ago, 3121.com reported neighbours shouting abuse at Prince 4 playing a CD of an aftershow 2 loudly in a London alleyway.
Check it, it's there. So he has been recording his shows, at least there is that. Which means, if nothing else, there is a possibility of a good quality bootleg or two of these shows surfacing!

Apparently he records all his shows so he can analyse them and make improvements. Therefore he will have thousands of concerts in THE VAULT. I wish I had the combination.

I agree here. And I hope to say: don't worry...

Yeah, I read that and that's what got me thinking. He'd need to release it quite soon after the stint ends though to capitalise on it methinks.

There are bound to be boots circulating but for those of us that don't go down that route for either financial, ethical or just plain no-idea-where-to-find-them reasons an official release would be just fine.
