I went on the 18th and 28th. Been a fan since my late teens, since hearing the Gold Experience. the 18th was my first ever Prince concert, and though I felt it was short, I also knew I had to leave at 11pm to catch my train out of London anyway, so was happy that he didn't do more. Of course, had he started earlier that would have been most welcome! Still, I thought the show was world-class. I took a casual Prince fan with me too, and he was also awe-struck (though he perhpas would have liked a few more of the "well known" Prince songs, specifically When Doves Cry, Nothing Compares 2 U, The Beatuiful Ones, etc) whereas I was lapping up Shh and Musicology, 3121 etc.
But on the 28th, I thought I was in heaven. his piano rendition of The Beautiful Ones, Sign o The Times, and the final encore of Nothing Compares to U were perfect. No other words needed to describe the quality of those songs performances. I woke up the next day (sadly no aftershow for me) with The Beautiful Ones running on loop in my mind. I hope he returns to the UK soon, but the show on the 28th made me feel like I have seen musical perfection.

I think he is getting bored. The shows used to start at 8:45 and go on to 11 I rember, but now he come on after 9 and finishes at 10:30 moments after telling everyong "better call the baby sitter, were staying here all night." Yeah right. http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/ - Prince discography, tour history, news and more.

hmm..i went all the way from Holland to London for the 28th main show (the aftershow tickets i just couldnt get a hold on..:-s)..i had not expected a too great of a show. So my expectations weren't very high as i have been the last 20 years to around 10 main shows now. I felt the 28th show was not up to par off any other main show i have seen. Partly it must have been also that the audience in my homeland netherlands is much more Prince minded than the London audience. But the show itself also was not very inspired, the band was given very little space and well the showmanship was kinda low, specially compared to the space the band was offered at the TRC area. All in all i ofcourse still loved the experience and seeing him again after some years was actually kind of an emotional experience, i mean i love Prince. I now realise i should have tried harder to get into the aftershows..i heard that was great the 28th..as for the show being short..well i think short is not really the problem..for me it was lack of a real challenge..it had a lot of been there..done that feel over it.. how u native english speaking say it..this is just a penny of my thoughts? ..what i mean it is just my idea after returning from London..

It was my first Prince show and i actually left a little dissapointed. The set seemed really short to me and what was the point of playing a few tracks with the stage light off?? There was also a lot of people around me getting evicted with their cameras so not the best show i've ever been to sadly.

having been to 3 shows tis time and spoken to friends who went on different days I would say the 28th was easily in the top 3 of this tour - To be honest I went on the opening night and felt a bit empty after but the 28 th made up for it in spades!
