Saturday Night:- What a performance!

Well I finally got to see prince on Saturday night. Bloody Hell what a performance, I was totally blown away all over again and having great seats definitely helped!

I was very pleased that the only new tracks I were guitar and lolita, and even so, live they weren't too bad. But wow, what a medley of old classics, I could have fallen over when he cranked up 'I feel for you' sounded as fresh as the day it was written.

There was a fair bit of teasing however, when he shouted out "tell me who in the house knows about the quake" I thought shit! no way! surely he's not going to play house quake, but he didn't!! Ha eek)

I also loved the bit towards the end when he was firing off samples of the classic drum beats of dmsr, when doves cry and sign of the times, totally unexpected and so good to hear, just dead cool, prince, the drum box and the crowd.

The last (and first) time I saw prince live was in Manchester about 13 years ago, and having been watching the lovesexy videos I was a little disappointed at the lack of spontaneity of the gold tour, but this was a different affair altogether.

I only wish now I had chance to see him again. Definitely one to remember, and great value to boot!

I was there Saturday for the third time. The show each time has been different and brilliant. For example this was teh first time of the three he did anything on the piano and the first time he had a support act. I thought Mutya looked hot. Three of the best nights of my life.

omfg Don't know where you were seated, but having to watch her from a profile view (BK 102, row D, seat 56 - that's where the horn joins touches the circle)... phew!!! My wife and me, we witnessed a singing liver sausage in a pink skirt!

Btw, main show & aftershow have really been over the top.
