1st Sept Main & After Show OH. MY. GOD. Just got back from aftershow after attending both main and aftershows tonight. Both were just the most amazing shows I've ever been to. The main show was outstanding. All I can tell you right now is that he opened with 1999 and closed with Lets Go Crazy. I can't remember all of it right now but he did A Love Bizarre, 1 min 30 secs of SOTT, Cream, U Got The Look, Purple Rain (long one, brilliant), Controversy, oh God I can't remember everything. I'm sure some clever person will post a full setlist on here in due course. Other than the brilliant set list and the fact that Prince was so obviously enjoying himself and really up for it, the highlight of my night was seeing me and my mate on the big screen as we swayed to Purple Rain!!!
The aftershow was amazing too. We were all waiting downstairs by the stage waiting for him to come on when all of a sudden there was a commotion upstairs and people started clapping. We looked everywhere to see what they were clapping at and all of a sudden Prince appeared at the barrier on Kings Row waving his arms and holding his hat. He was dressed head to toe in red (hat too). Everybody went ballistic. It was a real great surprise. Then he came on stage at around 1 a.m. and went off at 2.30 a.m. Amongst the great songs he did were Alphabet Street, Honky Tonk Woman and a bit of The 1 U Wanna C which was a fantastic surprise. We were quite close to the front and Prince came to the left hand side of the stage and put his hand out. We reached out to touch him and touched his right hand. Wow. Tonight was really something special and I'm glad to have been part of it. Both the main and after shows really were something special. Thank you Prince. You're one of a kind. Thanks also to Black Candle (orger) and his mate for letting me stand in front of them as I'm only little and couldn't see at first.

not sure if i can put a sentance together right now, not long in, almost 9am, but put simply, if prince continues at this rate, there will be casualties
Met some great orgers tonite as well, more about that later last nite (1st) was to 99% my last nite, and what a nite it was, could go on for ever and ever and ever, but i wont, although there is Joy in Repetition just a small note on the aftershow, looking from the balcony, it seems there was a great crowd downstairs last nite, a small part inside me, was saying, maybe you should be down there, none of the thugs that have marred alot of shows so far and of course the chorus of: oh waaaaayyyyy oh, ooooohhhhh PS pity we did not meet up last night, i think almost the entire UK org were at the show, and now i have 2 massive blisters on my heels, all coz of that skinny MF with the highered voice If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Oh Shirley - last night's main show was the best I've ever been to. The aftershow was the first and although the setlist wasn't my favourite I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The whole night last night was brilliant from start to finish.

He defo did Diamonds & Pearls completely. Not sure about Housequake. It definitely wasn't a little snippet though. Nah, he only did the first verse and 3/4rs of the chorus of Diamonds & Pearls - less than a minute (I think he struggles with the low notes of the verse, but why he even omits a line of the chorus is beyond me - no 'If I could I would give you the world'). And he didn't play Housequake at all - unless him asking the crowd twice 'Who in this house know 'bout the quake?' constitutes a song. Great night, absolutely outstanding. Wonderful main show, and blazing aftershow - my first to witness a Prince performance in five attempts! I got a tkt to both sold out shows as late as 7.30pm last night from the loveliest fans you could ever hope to meet, so what a night of unexpected delights. I still think the Aug 7th show is the best main show so far, but overall last night was my greatest experience during this run. Hell, I'm even thinking of doing the aftershow on a school night, that's how superb it was!

I can remember the first song and the last but everything else in between is a muddle! I keep on getting little snippets come into my head. It's quite frustrating. My head seems full of last night but when I try to recall it properly I can't. It's like trying to tell somebody about a dream. It's in your head and you know what happened but when you try to recall it to somebody it just doesn't seem to come out! All I know is that it was a fantastic main show. Was the best one for me for sure. The aftershow was the first for me so nothing to compare it with. Was a totally different experience than the main show - can't compare the two really - but great for that up close and personal experience.

Was great 2 meet u last night! I can see certainly all had a fantastic night! Couldn't have dreamed it any better! Although i did miss the last 10 mins (3rd encore) as I ran like a to the box office like a hippo. across the plains of africa! to get some aftershow tix! I picked up what must have been some of 5 out of may be a dozen that were left! phewwww! Not too disappointed missing the end as seen that sampler medley in other mid concert sections and nothing will ever come near to that 1 h 30 mins of funkin' aftershow! A stage constantly presided by P! A great touch when he came up to the VIP Balcony! He really has chilled out over the last few years I feel... I took 2 non fans... and they were amazed... they both said going to see any other performer live now will seem so mundane! ooooops.... sorry guys! There are no Kings on this earth... only Princes! I'd be surprised if he could better the main show last night! But you know Prince. If he does pull it off, it will be the best concert you have ever been to and will ever go to in your lifetime.

I'd be surprised if he could better the main show last night! But you know Prince. If he does pull it off, it will be the best concert you have ever been to and will ever go to in your lifetime. I didn't go to the Main show because earlier experience had shown me that some of the saturday shows are a bit lacklustre/shorter, and I'd just been on the Friday, and I've already seen 6 main shows. Looks like my judgement was way off last night!!! As to the aftershow I actually thought his setlist was perfect for a saturday crowd. He easily pleased us diehards by playing the likes of The One U Wanna C, Gotta Broken Heart Again and Partyman(!) and playing some incredible guitar instrumentals/solo's and also maintained a great party atmosphere with some choice covers (quite a bit of sly). Yup, I was well happy. Now, this bits gonna sound cheesy, but something witnail said made me think, wouldn't it be cool if loads of orgers met up for final show (main or after). (I'm dying to (squirrel) meet the king of the cynics, squirrelmeat.) "Had to get off the boat so I could walk on water..."

Thanks for the thanks DoMeBaby69, I forgot to mention my org handle! It's great when us little people stick together. I wonder how long it will be before you wash that hand! The aftershow was wild and only made better by the vibe in the place.

All I have to say about Sat's show and Afterparty is that..... if I never see another Prince concert again.... I would die a happy man
I remeber thinking through out the night that I never wanted it to end. I was surrounded by my closest friends and family and we all got to witness something really special..... corny I know... but it's just the truth!! Although now it's over and I've got that 'holiday blues' kinda feeling. I keep thinking about what happened and it just puts a smile right back on my face I'm counting myself pretty lucky right now

the clock ticks moving closer 2 sept 22 ...hopefully sept 21 will b the day the hits die 4ever in concert can't wait! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

It was akin to my days as a clubber for the euphoric feeling I had. I was hugging, and grinning at, everyone nearly Hello to the guy from New York in the silver trousers and hat and the girl with the large gold symbol and also the guy in the white t-shirt who I was chatting (shouting) to and also Andrew and his wife and friend (they squeezed to the front). Also to the lad from the NPGMC (white jacket), I hope you got in in the end. And thanks to the other bloke who offered to let me queue jump for the club. Hope (know) you had a great night
Also thanks to the dodgy burger stall for lining my stomach at 3:30am WHAT A NIGHT

Yup - just amazing - perhaps the best night I've been to so far.
This was my 5th main concert (7th, 10th, 11th, 14th and 1st) and my third aftershow (10th, 14th, 1st - so, yes, very lucky to have been at 3 aftershows and all 3 had FULL Prince performances). The main show was up there with the 7th, but the aftershow was probably the best I've attended, so the 1st has to win it. However, I've enjoyed every single night without question - each night has had its own unique flavour and I'm still thinking of going to more, particularly the aftershows. Just gotta watch that bank balance! ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Wow. What can I say, wonderful show (I was afraid that I wouldn’t see anything but we were closer then I thought, b112) and the aftershow was of the hook!
I want to give shout out to that guy in a hat and a cape for making the wait before the aftershow feel more a party then just a passing time. I didn’t dance (was too tired) but it was fun to watch and that and the music keep the sprits up! Security was a bit annoying, ok they have to but that guy with the flashlight on the stairs to the stage was blocking my view! Oh, and Prince if you reading this, I just want to say thank you from my mother, making her 60-yers birthday a day she will always remember! She hadn’t been to any concert for a long time and never to a prince concert before and she loved it. I wish you could have seen her dance! Also does anyone know which songs Mutya sung? I kind of liked the third last song, maybe it was a cover, the upbeat one? -------------------------------------------------

Ok, who was the crazy guy in front of the D Section who was waving his arms like a loon to Mutya? Mutya ffs! Didn't see him throughout Prince though so perhaps he only came to see her. Bouncers probably lopped his arms off before he went all Wii on us and belted someone
