Aftershow Question...

Just wondering....how early would you have to get the Indigo to get a decent spot right up near the stage before Prince comes on? is there a mad rush when the doors open up to the top or can you amble across directly after the very end of the main show and get a really good spot near the stage?
Just hearing of all these huge queues and that people must leave the main show early,etc.....if anybody can clarfiy all this for me, what the vibe is like at the Indigo.....can you get to the stage if you're way back in the queue, etc etc....Cheers! smile

I went to the mainshow on the 28th, and even though I exited the arena just opposite Indigo2 there was already a very large queue. So, I popped into the bar near the entrance and had a nice leisurely drink. 30 minutes later the queue had completely disappeared and I walked straight in, and straight to the stage. Admittedly I wasn't directly in front of the centre of the stage, but I was only about 4 rows back from the steps to the left of the stage. And no, I didn't push in - there was plenty of room.

So I'd recommend not bothering queueing for Indigo2 straight away - go and have a relaxing drink/sit outside and cool off before getting all hot and thirsty at the aftershow again!

The Inc. Brasserie plays all Prince music after the main show so is a really good place to go in between the main and aftershows.

My friends and I strolled in at around 12:30am.... no queue outside or nothing.

To be honest, I just hovered around the DJ's area just in front of the bar.

Absolutely perfect view of the stage from there and loads of space to get your groove on. Only thing I missed was Prince waving from the upstairs balcony before the show.

Admittedly, I did move closer for his final encore on Sat night only because it seemed that a lot of people had left thinking that it was over..... I was literally 10 feet away from him!! Don't blame for leaving though.... there was an announcement over the speaker thanking us for coming.... 2 mins later, Prince and Shelby were back on the stage!!

Judging by all the afterparty's he's attended over the tour, personaly, I don't think it's one of those things you can predict. I just readied myself for the worst and just imagine how absolutely blown away I was when he turned up!!

Even after he said mid concert how 'we might have to continue this party at 3121' I still held my reservations lol

I do truly believe though that a lot of it had something to do with with the reception he had at the main show. So make as much naise for the man as you can!!! biggrin

If you thought that reception was good..you should have seen Friday night, the crowd were in serious party mood and boy was it one of the best shows this tour!
