Do u guys really think I need 2 find a different seat 4 the 21st?

eek Yes mate ... IN-dubitably...

So what Ya gonna do? LoL, are you going to sell your special seat?
I’m suspecting, in case we continue this thread long enough, bodyguards will be escorting
the person who’s taking THIS seat Innn...&...OUT of the O2 on 21th September,
regardless if they will be carrying a black coat and camcorder. lol

Is it possible 2 bring my HD camcorder 2 the show on the 21st Sept. I have heard that no flash photos r allowed, but I just want 2 film the entire show and not interrupt the performance.

If it may cause a problem, I may have to result to bringing my black coat 2 put over my shoulders and on top of the camcorder.

If ur askin 4 our permission, sure, u know its against the rules but we wont complain... break em all cos u r the best! wink
Without restraint, there’d be no hesitation!

Do you think Prince will mind if I bring some spoons, get up on stage and play 'My old man's a dustman' in the interval?

No, I was in row d and it was awesome. I remember thinking "I wish I had my camcorder" especially when Maya or Nandy slipped over. I could have been £250 better off. Unfortunately my audio digital recording device was not able to pick up this hilarious occurence.

After receiving orgnotes from a couple of people I have to say that I was only joking about the audio digital recording device and I do not have any bootleg recording of the concert to share. I thought planetearth was also joking about the camcorder thing and was just messing about playing the fool. Seems he is serious after all. neutral
I actually did catch that moment on film when one of the twinz took a tumble, where can I get £250 from.

They did that with me. "Do you have a camera?". "Er, no?" "Okay, off you go. Oh and here's your free CD".

Yeah, and then there's other nights they blank you completely: On the 18th, I helped myself to 2 CD's from one of the boxes, held them up and said " I've got not bags & I'm taking these" and still got ignored (wish I'd taken the lot, now!)
Like your style, will try helping myself to few cd's 2. Have taken a camera with me every gig and got past security but Prince is to funky to stand still and film him, you just put the camera away and dance.

Stop!! My sides hurt from laughing so much. How about bringing along a big ole lighting rig for when the lights are dimmed. This has got to be the funniest thread yet.

Why stop with that little 'ole thing? lets go with a big f**k off boom! my mate works as a camera op on Deal or no Deal - I'm sure he'll lend it me, I borrowed his SLR last week.

I'll roll it down for you -

Plus I have another mate who works for O2 in a shop - he has got a couple of O2 fleeces, lets wear them. Job Done. I'll be Tape Op

This is hilarious!! You guys really crack me up.

Why this low key ("coat over head" - thing) when you can bring a whole production team with you. And why only one camera? You must have different angles! And maybe you should have a cameraman on stage in order to get some for really good close ups....

I suggest you reconsider this and start doing things properly... cool
biggrin

"This is control tower (coat over head guy) to camera 1... " " Now shift to camera 5 for close ups"

lol
This reminds me of the classic Seinfeld episode when Seinfeld had to help Kramer make a bootleg of a movie ... and got artistic about it..

Thanks guys for making my day!!!

That's a deal. I can get hold of some VT equipment, I'll set myself up at the back by the mixing desks with a few monitors. We need a couple more cameramen. Sound is sorted as wickyb can get hold of a sound boom from his mate who works as a camera op on Deal or no Deal, wonder if his mate will bring along one of those TV cameras's.

Unkleg has offered to play the spoons and wetv is bring the washboard for Gett Off. GC79 will do a few dance routines.

Looks like we are set but not sure what else is needed.

I suggest we try to get access to the premises a few hours before the show in order to get enought time to set everything up properly and also rehearse (dance routines etc.), do a soundcheck of the washboard for Gett Off and possible to set up some additional microphones, check camera angels, monitors etc..

C U at the rehearsal!

thegranddesign consider yourself in. What a great idea. I'll contact O2 tomorrow and get it set up. Might even send them an e-mail as we would want written confirmation that we can be on the premises with all the gear we have to bring along. Better get the spoons and the washboard ready.

lbanks you've just talked yourself in to being costume designer. Get the lycra out!!.

All we need is the ok from the O2. That should not be a problem as I can't think of a single reason as to why they should have a problem with this, after all we are bringing a load of equipment with us!!

I would definitely say wear your finest heels...the sexier the better.
It's going to be a special night, and I for one always judge people (in the first, and completely fleeting way) by their shoes smile

Best to make your getaway on a pair of 'Heelies'- trainers with concealed wheels in the heel? Or old fashioned roller skates would do.

I think you should wear trainers with a see through wedge heel and if you can get them to light up that may aid you in seeing where you are running to. lol
