Doing the right thing (with a wrong result)

On one of the other topics, DoMeBaby69 talks about how she took her little daughter tonight because she wanted her to see Prince once in her life time.

A couple of weekends ago, I was negotiating outside the O2 with some women to buy floor tix off them, when a mum and her little girl came up to us, also wanting the tickets. Had it been anyone else, I wouldn't have hesitated to just take the tickets, but when I saw the little girl, I thought about what it would be like for her to experience seeing prince for the first (and perhaps only) time. So I gallantly let them have the tickets. As I thought through this moral dilemma, a member of security saw my wad of cash and decided I must be a tout and grilled me for a good ten minutes - I had to convince him I was a genuine fan who already had a ticket. I hope that little girl had a great time and that my suffering wasn't in vain!! Saw a couple of young boys at the front of block 116 tonight who were really enjoying it, dancing and trying to get their mum to dance with them.

I'd love to know what some of these "youngsters" think of Prince.

Or one who wears more make-up than me. Or one who has a smaller waist than me.

Not in Mayte's case! Some years ago whilst queuing at the Brixton Academy, Mayte walked through the queue to enter through the side door and I swear you'd have needed a hammer and chisel to get the make-up off of her face!

Not perhaps the first thing I'd have been trying to get(t) off her, but I catch your drift...

Yeah, and I'm sure you wouldn't have been looking at her face either!

i wish more of my friends were as into Prince as i am.. but who cares i have all you guys to talk about him to lol cool
