SO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE!

What can i say that hasn't been said before? He was Amazing!! This is the best i've ever seen him.
He was so relaxed, and self assured.

Personal highlights have to be prince's "sleazy dance"! lol!

The man joking about people's reaction's when you tell them you're going to a Prince concert! "Prince?!" lol!

The ending of 'The Beautiful Ones'.

The whole crowd singing along to 'Sometimes It Snows In April' eek

He really is: Jack of all trades, Master of them all!

What really struck me about the concert, though, was how many young people there were! I was really expecting it to be full of 30 somethings. not that is a bad thing, but there was something really 'faith restoring' about seeing loads of young people there. Do you know what i mean?!

Anyway my question is how? I'm 20 and was introduced to prince's music by my father. This can't be true of most the young ones at the concert. With little play on MTV, and the radio here how are they still interested. These weren't casual fans. they had payed up to £60 for tickets, and knew the words to most his songs!
"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

"YEAH!!!"

"Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

I am 16, and I just couldn't handle the garbage on Mtv and vh1, and my mom always liked Prince, so I decided I'd try him again (I hated his guts when i was a little kid, I thought he was the bigest freak in the world!) and here I am now...

I remember growing up as a Prince fan was quite similar to being part of a minority religion. In addition to all the well wicked things that happened at the shows, meeting prince, seeing sound checks and the mans humour in very relaxed way etc etc, one of the big highlights of the shows was meeting other members and seeing how well behaved we all are around him. Quite a variation to the people who he asked to come down the aisles on friday ("the first timers") they were trying to pull him into the crowd when he reached for their hands and so forth. The fact that he didn't play the first two nights aftershows wasnt an issue with me at all. Especially on Friday. Being in a club listening to funky prince mixes with a whole lotta fans was blinding. I am so pleased I didn't miss the oportunity and spend the whole not huddled in the corner stairing at a door in the hope it would open so I could catch a glimps of his face. Somehow it seemed a little futile to me, concidering I had just spend the night at a soundcheck and concert seeing all the glimpses I needed.

they were just having fun - i dont blame them at all. which is worse? doing that or agreeing with everything prince says and does?! which is what some fans do!
