hi fams,
i fucking hate the 02 arena and indigo2 4 several reasons....
im going 2 18 shows and the drunken idiots r ruining the shows 4 everybody including myself where they constantly barge aggressivly by u in order 2 go 2 the toilet r 4 more drinks....then as they come back they spill there drinks over everybody as they rush by u once again!!!!!

during the interlude the annoying ppl use this as a toilet break and 2 fetch more beers...then as soon as prince reappears on stage there is a mad rush 2 there seats....on tuesday night the 28th i was in block 111 row c right at the corner seat where i was eye level with prince when he faced towards us.....

...this was 1 of the best seats n the arena however i was disgusted when rude fans kept charging down the isles and security kept shifting them back up which proved a major distraction and then the so called fans would give evil eyes 2 us fans who were lucky 2 have great seats near the stage...this ruined the fucking show as the security were up and down like yo yos all night arguing with these ppl 2 get back 2 there seats.....

.....i personally think security at the 02 is a fucking joke compared 2 other venues...there was 1 fan who had a camcorder filiming the show tuesday nite and security completely ignored this person and they must have been blind not 2 see the filming taking place....

as 4 the indigo it has a problem with the drunks and bullies who barge there way 2 the front of the stage spilling drinks over folx and in general ruining the xperience.....plus that i rather when the aftershow was secret and it was fun getting 2 the secret venue.....maybe its just me but im sooooo sick of the 02 now its unbelieveable and i cannot wait until the 21 of sept when i see the back of the 02 cause im NEVER going back there again,,,,the accoustics r shite and the staff r terrible with a chip on there shoulder...what do u xpect when AEG run the joint....nuff said,,,,

My only problem so far is seriously wondering how the upper tiers are within health and safety law. I was in row B. I'm sure if someone caught their foot on the seats/steps they could just go flying over the side and plunge to their death.

I'm going again tonight. Hope to have a great time and not need to add anything else to this list.

i have been to four shows and aftershows and had no problems with drunks
just with twats like you who think prince should perform just for you.

I thought the security were fine so I dont think you should have a go at them. People need to take notice of the no cameras policy tho. I dont know who much more they can do to enforce this other than removing all camera phones before you go in...
As for the drunks,I think they should close the bar during the performance.

Sounds to me you hate Prince concert-goers rather than the actual venues.

I agree with Claire - the bar should be closed during the main show. Only soft drinks should be available. I'm not sure if any law can give good reason for it, but it'd be a good rule, so only people who are actually thirsty will be going for top-ups.

As for the security, it's my 4th show tonight and I've not had any trouble with them yet. In fact they've been extra friendly when we were on a post-concert high at the end of the night and wanted a little joke with a few of them.

Sure, I'd be OK with that. I'm a super-prepared person most of the time so I always go to the loo right before and bring 2 bottles of water in with me just in case. Actually if I'm going anywhere other than home for an evening, I make a little check list the night before. Oh God, I feel like Monica Geller now.

Whilst I would concur with some of your comments (in particular your comments about drunken idiots...but that is not a problem with just the O2 go to any bar or club up and down the country and you will find absolutely zero bar etiquette...I can't remember the last time I queued at a bar and saw anyone acknowledge that someone else was actually there before them and should be served..I disgress) the two times that I've been thus far Prince's performance has been so amazing that it has far over-shadowed any negative aspects I may have taken away from the shows.

Sure in an ideal world the shows would be full of 22,000 perfect people in the greatest arena in the world, staffed by the nicest staff....but we don't live in a perfect world; there are way too many arseholes in this country (present company excepted) and anyone who is not aware of this and is expecting perfection from the shows is, I'm afraid, deluding themselves.

Live and let live I say. With gigs like this its way you make it alot of the time.

Wolfy, hunny, if you really hate the o2 then why put yourself through the expense of travelling back all the time, if you really cant wait till the 21st then maybe you should offload all your remaining tickets and call it a day.
I think your feeling guilty about all the shows that you have attended and all the money you have spent and are looking for ways to moan all the time. Maybe you should have kept it to about 3 or 4 performances and then you would have had a better over all experience.

And, you're anger is often mis-directed - Prince isn't responsible for what you complain about, but you've levelled it at his door. In fact, as others have said, it seems the main problem you have is with fans - or, is it just yourself that's really the problem? Hmmm....

And its not just you who keeps getting pissy about people having a drink, people not being "true" fans (whatever that means?!), leaving to go for a break/drink during the show - look, this isn't a concert just for you, its not a concert just for diehard Prince fans. Its a show for anyone who is prepared to pay the money to go and see it (as Prince himself said) and ALL of those people have the right to enjoy the show however they see fit. They paid they're money and have just as much right to get up out of their seat as they want, drink or not drink, dance or not dance. Who the hell are you people to dictate how people should enjoy themselves - you want to live like that, move to Iran.

Sure, people should not negatively impact the enjoyment of people around them but, even when they do, it doesn't have to be such a big deal. In fact, from the amount of other stuff you notice going on, Wolfy, I have to wonder just how much of the show you watch, because it sounds like you're constantly on the lookout for people misbehaving - stop being such a busybody and just enjoy all the entertainment you've forked out loads of money for. I've been to four main shows and 2 aftershows - had a great time, EVERY time, and didn't see any of the bad behaviour that a minority on here seem to find every time they go out. Hence, the logic that you lot must be on the lookout for it, instead of just enjoying yourself.

If just a few drunken idiots can marr your enjoyment so much, when Prince and everything else about the night is so good, then I guess you need to take a look at yourself and work out if you're a compassionate, tolerant person or whether you're a selfish, intolerant bigot (er, read spending £2000 on tickets for 18 shows and still can't have a good time)!
