Of course Purple Rain is amazing, but I have to say that Nothing Compares 2U really gets me, just there. I was blown away by it on the opening night and have been ever since.

I thought I would cry to purple rain, as I cry over anything, but I was so happy to be there and be so close I couldn't stop smiling. I also accidently waved to him when he came over my way, in my excitement and it was so embarrassing because I caught his eye and he looked surprised that I'd waved ! The guitar intro on Purple Rain usually gets me every time. However, when I went on 10th August, he didn't do the guitar intro at all so the bit which usually gets me emotional was lost which was a little disappointing. However, I balled my eyes out at Sometimes It Snows In April.

Purple rain gets me every time I was only 5 when it came out but I think one of my earliest memories was being in the car when the song came on the radio (or tape cant remember) but my dad stopped the car and we sat in silence for the whole song... my dad turned to me and said now that hunny is a fantastic song, it's gonna be huge. Then he hugged me and from then on he called me his purple princess.. he wasnt a big Prince fan (not as big as Iam now) but he just loved that song!!
