Re 28/08 Are the setlists being reported in error?

Mabye my memory is wrong but I want to check this out with fellow orgers who were at the great show on the 28th before I go correcting the list on Housequake.

This is the setlist they have up at the moment:

August 28th

Provisional setlists - tbc
M.I.A support
Main show 21.08 - 22.48

UK Rock n Roll Hall of Fame video intro
Let's Go Crazy
1999
Take Me With U
7
Come Together The Beatles
Cream
U Got The Look
Musicology incl I Feel Alright James Brown
What A Wonderful World interlude Louis Armstrong
Piano set
Diamonds & Pearls - The Beautiful Ones - Little Red Corvette - Rasperry Beret
Full Band
Lolita
Black Sweat
Kiss
Synth set
Sign O The Times - Alphabet Street - Erotic City (sample) - When Doves Cry - I Wanna Be Your Lover

Purple Rain

Encore
I Feel 4 U
Encore
Controversy
Encore
Nothing Compares 2 U

1. Ok this section says provisional but didn't he do Prince and the Band right after Musicology and I'm not sure about the James Brown number?
2. Don't remember hearing the Erotic City sample but I'm pretty certain he did a Nasty Girl sample right after When Doves Cry.
3. There was no break between I Feel For You and Controversy as was suggested here.

Aftershow Indigo2
New Power Trio (Prince, Cora + Josh)
1.10 - 2.10
Thank You For Talkin' To Me, Africa (instrumental jam) Sly and the Family Stone
Anotherloverholenyohead/Rock Lobster B52s
Calhoun Square
Chaos and Disorder
I Like It There
All Shook Up Elvis Presley
Empty Room
Spirituality
Jonny B Goode Chuck Berry
Elephants And Flowers
People Get Ready The Impressions w When Will We Be Paid lyrics The Staple Singers
Baby Love - Mothers Finest (Shelby J. lead vocals)
Alphabet Street
Encore
Guitar

The aftershow setlist is practically faultless however my memory told me Elephants and Flowers came before Jonny B Goode, getting somewhat muddled now so I'm not totally sure can someone confirm the correct order?
Also regarding the timing of the aftershow I thought he started nearer 1.15 and played till around 2.30.

He only did the "what's my name?" bit of Prince and the band - definitely didn't do the full rap like he did, say, on Saturday night.

He definitely did the Erotic City sample as I remember turning to my friend Gemma and saying 'he's sooooo not gonna sing this'.

I may be wrong rockchic but you have to concede that there was no break between I Feel For You and Controversy as at the end of the former he said anyone like the 80's, turn the keyboards up and went straight into Controversy.

I'm almost certain about Nasty Girl coming after When Doves Cry also.

Great shows though, both of em.

Perhaps he did Erotic City rather than Nasty Girl but one of em definately came after When Doves Cry.

You remember t exactly as I do regarding Elephants and Flowers coming before Johnny B Goode.

You're right about the timings too as I was checking the time. Came on at 1:15, played through until 2:15, off for 5 minutes, came back and did Guitar. Finish about 2:25.

Mega show!!
RIP sad

Aha, now we're getting somewhere. I shall call on you as my witness for the prosecution when I call out these eronous setlisters. Nice to see I wasn't imagining things.
Can you set me straight on the main show? I think I may be confusing Nasty Girl and Erotic City or elce I may have just overlooked Erotic City but something definately came right before I Wanna Be Your Lover.

He did both of them, although they were short samples

Ha Ha, that sounds about right. For someone who never went to school Jimmy you're doing pretty good at the memory game. Thats what I was starting to think that both were used. I musta become so dumbstruck from the quality of the Beautiful Ones that I missed the Erotic City sample.

Well done for spotting Rock Lobster. I spotted that too. Maybe Prince was listening to the Steve Wright show on BBC Radio 2 that afternoon? I heard it on the way to the gig! Class.

He's been tacking that on the end of anotherlover since at least the Superbowl press conference.

Ah, Rock lobster. I've got to check that press conference again...

Nobody seems to have reported on it but Prince' guitar had some tech problems right after anotherlover. He just started a song, three or four chords and it went dead. He left the guitar on a speaker for the tech to fix, then he did the fake stagedive. The thing is, I couldn't figure out what song it was he wanted to play. When he came back he started Calhoun Sq. So, does anyone know what song it was, when his guitar broke down?
