I saw the show last night (28th) and he opened with "Let's go Crazy".. I love the song but not keen on the short version with rushed intro. Of all the shows I've seen here is my top 4 opening numbers.. What do you think?

It's gotta be .... 'Snare drum pound on the two and four, all the party people get on the floor...BASS' into Erotic City.

So far 1999 has been the best opener used, though Planet Earth was cool as it caught the casual audience offguard, but it's better placed within the set as on the opening night with the twins on those rollerblade shoes - that was brilliant

Of this tour, I think Planet Earth is the best opener.

The audience are so excited, the artist gets a great reception for any first song. I think the Earth Tour should open with Planet Earth, then roar into 1999 to get the party going!

All time favourte opener? Thats a toughy. Tempted to say Erotic City (Lovesexy tour), The Future (Nude tour), or possibly Endorphine Machine (Live Experience Tour)...but I think the winner is...

3121 was an amzing opener on the 18th when we went. HE just strolled on and like, filled the room with his coolness haha. I woulda loved to have been there when he first opened with 1999, bet it was off the chain!

I wouldnt mind him doing Gett Off or When Doves Cry...Cant blame me for dreaming!

Would personally love either 3121 & Planet Earth as the opener. Only been once so far and it was Purple Rain - wasn't really feeling it as an opener, better than not having it at all though.

The 7th of Aug show was badazz, he opened with Little Red Corvette...the intro to LRC (live set) gets me HIGH!!

I kinda predicted he'd open that first show with Purple Rain and it was a great, ballsy opening, but I think 1999 on the 14th just knocked everyone's socks off and the crowd certainly showed their appreciation!

1999 for me, especially as I'd been a tad critical of his medlying, and when the 1999 voice opened the show I couldn't believe he was gonna open with a tease... and then, goddarn it, he played the whole thing!
